Polka Dots!

dress - outfit, denim shirt, bag - charity shop, belt - free on jeans, shoes - shoe zone

Total Outfit Price: £15.09

I am making the most of the weather, it's supposed to turn horrible and rainy by the end of the week!

I think I may be obsessed by dresses and denim at the moment it's such a perfect combination for summer. I want to buy a fitted denim jacket and a denim gilet as well. Hurry up discount card!

My bag was a perfect find at the charity shop my mum volunteers in! I don't think you can argue at 50p do you?

I have been sent a pair of butterfly twist shoes, which are the ones you can fold up and put in your handbag. I'm assuming I entered a competition for them, they arrived this morning and in my size, but there was no cover letter? Weird huh? Not that I am complaining they are a great little shoe for walking round the house in!

Hope you've been enjoying the weather!

P.S If you have a moment I'd be ever so grateful if you could nominate littlepaperswans for the newcomer award at the Cosmo Blog Awards! I know I don't stand much of a chance but it only takes a second!

I am offering a blog button swap at the moment. Your blog button/badge on my blog and mine on yours! All for free! What's not to like? Get in touch via email, twitter or leave a comment!

Acceptable in the Eighties!

top - vintage, skirt - george at ASDA, watch - gift

Total Outfit Price - £8.00

I raided this top from my Mum's wardrobe it's original from the eighties. Today was going to be a vlog post but when it said it was going to take 154 minutes I really couldn't be bothered to wait around for it to upload. So instead I decided to do an outfit post! The vlog post will go up at some point this week.

I am still waiting for my discount card for work so until then new clothes are on a bit of a hold. I am really inspired by flashes of style an American blogger. Go and take a look at her! Her clothes are beautiful and always wonderfully styled.

That's all for now!

Nails #1

dress - new look, bag - charity shop

After being complimented on my nails today at work I decided to do a little post about them! You'll be happy to know the look only cost me £3. I decided to use MUA nail varnish which retails for £1 a pot.

I originally wanted more of pastel look, but the Superdrug where I live has rather a limited selection. So I went for Shade 16 . After a few coats I had a bold pink nail and I have to say I am rather impressed with a cheap but really good quality nail varnish.

I decided to have an "accent" nail. Which again I would have preferred a pastel blue but again with limited choice I went for Shade 9. Which is again a bold colour. The formula offers a good coverage and a real professional finish.

Like a good manicurist should, I then added a top coat. Shade 17. Which gave a nice gloss to the nail.

I was really impressed with MUA and I will be stocking up on some more shades! However I am putting out a request to MUA to do some more pastel shades please!

My finished nail look!

MUA is available online and at most Superdrug stores. Also if you pop to Superdrug now they have 3 for 2 on cosmetics so you can have three gorgeous nail colours for the price of two!

It would be amazing if you could vote for me in the Cosmo Blog Awards. I know I don't stand much of a chance but oh well! I'd be over the moon if you could give me a vote!

Glossy Box Review #1

If you follow me on Youtube you will have seen me open my Glossybox live on camera. I got a bit carried away with the super cute paper and Instagramed whilst recording!

Well I hope you can see why. I will be keeping this paper!

Even the ribbon was beautifully printed.

Anyway onto the products. I was rather excited to see what I had got. All day I had been avoiding blog posts so it would remain as a surprise.

And I wasn't disappointed. When you see all the negative and bitchy comments on Glossy's social networking pages, I wonder why. I love all my products!

As it was Glossybox's 1st Birthday box we all got a special treat! A cute compact mirror which will be perfect for putting in the bottom of my bag!

The first product was the Collection Lasting Colour Gel Eyeliner RRP £4.99.
My first thought was gold eyeliner? Am I five? Well I was totally wrong. The eyeliner stays put and the formula is good. The colour is strong. And the gold, well it actually opened up my eyes and I looked a lot more awake. This product is so much better than I originally thought and I'm glad I got to test it out!

The second product was Lolita Lempicka L'Eau en Blanc & Eau de Parfum RRP £65 full size.
I know that a lot of people are not fans of perfume samples and I did say on my vlog, that I don't know how you can review perfume online. I am not good with poetically describing scents other than saying I like it. The L'Eau en Blanc is a much nicer smell for me. It's light and almost musky which is a smell I like. Perfume is totally individual so I can't really recommend it totally but I definitely prefer the L'Eau en Blanc to the much heavier Eau de Parfum.

The third product was Neal's Yard Remedies Rehydrating Rose Daiy Moisture RRP £12.
I love the smell of this product and I loved it on my arms and hands, but on my face? Unfortunately my skin had a bit of a reaction to it (turning bright red and face burning, not a good look!). I have recently had a bit of a problem with some face masks so I know that the fault is with my skin and not the product. My mum enjoys the product and as long as it's not on my face I do to. I'll be using it as a body lotion from now on. But if you don't have sensitive skin then I would recommend it totally!

My fourth product was the Eldora False Eyelashes H141 RRP from £3.
Now I am bit of false eyelash virgin I have used one pair and that's it. However it's something I want to get into more and I have really short eyelashes so a boost for my lashes would be good and these are the perfect way to get my flutter fix. The lashes are quite full on so more of a night time look than a day one But for £3 you can't really go wrong!

The final product was Noble Isle Summer Rising Bath & Shower Gel RRP £20.
This product was by far my favourite. I am huge fan of shower gels and you can send me as many sample as you like as it's something I will always use. The smell of the shower gel is supposed to smell of summer and it really does. Using it at the moment is just perfect. My skin felt really smooth and I really do love it. Will I repurchase? Hmmm £20 is quite pricey for a cheapskate like me, but if someone wants to buy it for me, I'd be more than happy to accept.

Well I think my first Glossybox was a hit and I am happy with the contents and service. I can't wait for my next box now! Bring on the June box!

* Glossybox costs £10 ( +P&P ) and I pay for my own box. I am not sent it for free. For more information visit the Glossybox website.

Denim & Florals!

dress - h&m, denim jacket - charity shop, shoes - kurt gieger* belt - free on jeans

Total Outfit Price: £5.99

*gift voucher

Feeling very summery again! I hope the weather stays like this all summer long.

I tried out the moisturiser from my Glossybox and came out in an allergic reaction. Recently my face has been quite sensitive to products. However I will use it as a body lotion instead. I will be doing a full review at some point next week, so keep an eye out for that.

Today is Mama's birthday! We are celebrating by me cooking a three course meal! Delicious. I am then treating her to the L'Occitane event I have coming up and then a shopping trip. Which will be exciting!

Hope your all enjoying the sun, the weather is supposed to stay nice this weekend too!

Sundress!

dress & shoes - charity shop

Total Outfit Price: £4.48

That has to be my cheapest outfit ever! Even I am shocked at how cheap it is.

The weather has been so beautiful today! I had to put this dress on. I didn't end up meeting my friend so I wandered round some charity shops and stocked up on magazines.

Tomorrow I'm seeing my nephew who is all ill and grumpy with chickenpox. Mama Swan and I have created a little SOS pack to help my nephew and my sister get through a week stuck indoors! How lovely are we?

I'm planning on posting everyday this week, whether it will be an outfit post or video. I am very excited to get my first glossybox, they are being shipped tomorrow so the excitement of waiting in for the delivery man begins!

How did you enjoy this glorious day?

The Windy City!

top, skirt - h&m, tights - primark, belt - littlewoods, shoes (not seen) - notting hill

Total Outfit Price: £16.00

Taking these photographs was really difficult. Dealing with the wind, my hair and trying not to expose myself was tricky! But I got there in the end.

I am meeting my friend tomorrow, for a day of exploring, picture taking and getting really hyper. She really supports me with my blog so it will be amazing to have a good catch up!

Hopefully the weather will be nice tomorrow so I can wear the summer dresses I brought a couple of months ago. Hmmm, what are the chances of that?

It would be amazing if you could vote for me in the Cosmo Blog Awards. I know I don't stand much of a chance but oh well! I'd be over the moon if you could give me a vote!

I have got a new phone! An iphone to be precise, which means I have more access to instagram. Yay! Expect lots of pictures. You can follow me at littlepaperswans. Nice and simple!

I have a whole week off so expect a few videos and posts this week. If the weather stays dry, I will outfit post a lot! Yay.

Hope you've had a good weekend!

Skincare Routine and Review Vlog! #1

Now this video has been the curse of my life for the past 24 hours. I recorded this yesterday and have being trying to "encode" it with Quicktime Pro (I am seriously suggesting they rename this) I tired 6 times to encode it before this morning after an hour and fifteen minutes, and many threats it finally worked! I have had to reduce the quality a little bit as it just would not encode at all!

Anyway, rant over, I hope you enjoy my little skincare, routine/review video. Watch on Youtube for more information!

I am recording my haircare routine video today hopefully!

Bohemian Polka Dots!

dress - bay trading, cardigan - charity shop, necklace - dorothy perkins, shoes - new look, tights - primark

Total Outfit Price: £30.00

Second day at work! Decided to go a little bit bohemian. There are so many amazing clothes in at New Look at the minute! As soon as I get my discount card I shall be buying rather a lot! I am in need of new clothes (don't tell Mama swan, she'll go mad!).

The weather has been rather nice! This is what May should be like, not constant rain and frizzy hair!

I'm back at uni tomorrow for one of my last days. We are off for an end of first year meal on Friday! Which I am really looking forward to.

As for the rest of today, I am looking forward to a home cooked tea (I love Mama) and catching up on my favourite bloggers/vloggers!

Hope you've had a good weekend! What did you get up to?

Starting out!

jeans, necklace - primark, jersey, shoes - new look

Total Outfit Price: £20.00

Today was my first day at my new job! I wore this outfit, I wanted to look casual without trying to hard!

Today's weather has been really hit and miss it started off rainy and then turned into glorious sunshine. As soon as I receive my bursary money I am splurging on an Ipad so I can have instagram all the time and not just when I steal Mr Swan's phone. This means a lot more #ootd and lots more random photographs of products, fruit cider and cats!

I hope you all had a great Saturday! I'm back at work tomorrow and then at uni Monday. I can't believe that I have pretty much finished my first year!

It would be amazing if you could vote for me in the Cosmo Blog Awards. I know I don't stand much of a chance but oh well! I'd be over the moon if you could give me a vote!
