Overnight breakfast bread.

You know when you're in a hurry and you crave freshly baked bread well now you can have it and it only takes you 30 minutes in the morning and some time overnight whilst you are sleeping. I thought that this would be perfect for Mother's Day breakfast. Have some good quality jam and a pretty mug of tea and you're set.

I found this recipe through Clara who I follow on Instagram. Her pictures are always so beautiful and she definitely worth a follow. She bakes this bread at weekends and I just couldn't resist making it for myself.

The original recipe comes from here. It's so easy to make, there's no excuse for shop brought bread at the weekends anymore! It's also a lazy girls/boys bread, you don't have to doing any kneading which is perfect for when you really can't be bothered with all the hassle of traditional bread making.

You will need:

400g strong white bread flour
1/2 teaspoon instant dried yeast
1 tsp salt
300ml tepid water.

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, cover with clingfilm and leave for 12-18 hours in a moderately warm place. Let the mixture get to work overnight while you enjoy a good nights sleep.

Preheat the oven to 230ºC/Gas 8 and put a casserole pot or a dish ,that has a lid and will withstand high heat, into the oven for 30 minutes.

Shape the dough into a ball, cover with clingfilm and and leave it to rest for the 30 minutes it takes to heat the dish up.

Bake for 30 minutes, remove the lid, bake for a further 15 mins. Remove to a wire wrack to cool slightly.

Serve with jam and a good cup of tea!

If you ever make any of the recipes I feature on my blog, please send me a picture. I love seeing what you bake!  Tweet me!
