Another weekend and another excuse for an adventure with the family. This time we headed to Fritton Lake in Norfolk. It's so beautiful and the weather was incredible I think we left a little bit sunkissed. We started off the day with the play park. Zip wires and giant bouncing pillow. It was so fun and great fun to watch too.

Afterwards we headed for the boats, a few of us didn't fancy the boat ride (me included) so we stayed on dry land and waived as they rowed past. A couple of very friendly ducks tried saying hello so I swiftly moved out of the way (anyone else hate ducks?).

When everyone had returned we decided to go on a quick walk and then get the picnics out of the car. I bought a few bits as I had no time to make anything. We had pitta breads, hummus, nachos, jelly and a few other nibbly bits. It was lovely.

After stopping for lunch we then played golf. Which always results in me losing. I'm so terrible. An hour of so later and a golf ball to the head (not mine) we decided to call it a day. I'm claiming that as a victory.

It was such a great day out and we left feeling exhausted, the good kind of exhausted. If you are ever in the area it is definitely worth a visit. It's a childhood favourite of mine! We made a vlog of the day which will be up on my channel very soon (we having difficulties, boo YouTube!) I'll link you up as soon as I can!

  2. Please tell me Fritton Lake still has the most amazingly huge playground. Back in the 80s it was my favourite place to go to, I was forever nagging Mum to take me there just to go on the amazing playground, I don't remember much else about it! Ha!!!
