suffolk, blog, blogger, staycation, holiday, uk, southwold, east ruston,

Well not quite. I have a week of work coming up in a couple of weeks and I can't wait. I am at the stage where you just need time off! We were planning either a trip to Brighton or Liverpool but plans fell through or were never made. We haven't booked anywhere and to be honest I'm not a great traveler and the thought of going on a drive for six hours at a time. No thank you!

So we (I say we, I mean I) have decided that we are going to have a "staycation". We are going visit places in our area that have been on our list for ages, have a trip to the cinema, a meal out, all the things we want to do but never get round to doing. So I've decided to share my list with you (which is still growing and subject to change!)

1. Visit the gardens at East Ruston with my Mum. We haven't been here for many years and I've been dying to go back. I do a love a good garden and this one (from what I remember) is breathtaking. I can't wait to take lots of photographs of all the pretty flowers.

2. A trip to Southwold. A walk along the beach, independent shops, an ice cream or two. The perfect day out and lots of pretty beach huts and the best bit it's only a 25 minute drive away.

3. A picnic in the park with our family.

4. A trip to the cinema or a movie night at home with popcorn and loads of sweets.

5. A meal out would also be great. Somewhere with great desserts. That will need some investigation!

  1. I've literally just returned from a week long staycation in Norfolk, we had the best time. I've just blogged about our trip to the North Norfolk Coast. You have to go to Wells for pancakes if you haven't been before :)

  2. I love this idea, there's so many places I haven't been to in my area, I really need to take the time to do it! I hope you have a lovely time :)
