I've been meaning to share this for a while, it's our save the dates. We sent them out at the end of January although there are still a few people yet to receive theirs (I will get organised, I will). We decided to send these out before formal invites as we are getting married in February next year, so not your usual summer wedding season, it gives people enough notice and I think brings a sense of excitement.

My sister-in-law and I drew each one by hand, which didn't take as long as I thought it would. We had finished 40 pegs in one night. I then had the task of printing the label which took me over a week. It was such a long process and my hand cramped up so many times I had to stop. Once I'd finished the labels I cut the lace for the veil and stuck on each one. It was quite a bit of effort but so worth it. Peoples reactions were priceless.

We didn't want to just give them out as they were as we didn't want them to get damaged and having something wrapped up is far more exciting so we rummaged through the craft things I have and found brown paper bags which fits in with our "rustic", countryside theme perfectly. To seal the bags we needed a sticker. I was tempted to buy some heart stickers but in the end we found some print your own labels in Wilko. It was perfect. I popped over to my mums to steal her printer and printed the labels. We might have squealed when they came out.

We were rather happy with them. Now we have to design the formal invite ready to send out before Baby makes an appearance in September.
