I didn't know if I would have to write this post or not or whether baby girl would be here. Wishful thinking. At the time of writing this (Sunday evening) baby is still tucked away comfy. So no signs that she's ready to leave yet.
The last four weeks have taught me a lot about patience, how I don't have any and how babies will come when there ready not matter how much walking (or any of the other old wives tales) you do. I've been trying to walk as much as possible to get things moving as well as just getting out of the house for my sanity. With the Mr back at work things are pretty boring so I've been relying on family and friends to keep me entertained.
Symptom wise I'm a lot bigger, obviously. Baby girl feels heavier, especially in this last week she's felt so heavy and as strange as it sounds I'm a lot more aware of her. Sleep is difficult. Most nights I get up 4 times to wee and some nights I wake up every hour to move into a comfortable position (handy tip, there are no comfy positions when you're this big!). Leg cramps are still here and they keep me up too. All practice for night feeds I suppose.
My heartburn has subsided a little because baby has dropped down but I still get a little bit now and then. I'm not sure if I've had Braxton Hicks. I've had where it feels like she's pushing down and my waters will go and my stomach tenses up but no obvious contractions.
I've found that bouncing on a birthing ball has helped recently. Comfortable and good for getting her to move down, I'm going to spend the next few days bouncing I think.
Every morning I wake up and think today could be the day. It's a little crazy to go to bed one day just us two and then the next day we could be our little family. I can't wait and I hope she doesn't keep us waiting too long. I've really enjoyed this pregnancy and if you want to read all of my updates you can find them here:
Hopefully by the time this post goes up on Tuesday she will be here. Fingers crossed. Follow me on Instagram and Twitter to keep up with baby updates!
Oh so exciting! I hope she doesn't keep you waiting too long xx
