Are you prepared for the easiest recipe I have probably ever posted? I mean I think even my sister (sorry!) could pull this one off. Although these bites are easy they are probably one of the nicest snacks I've made in a while.
In all honesty I had never planned to make these. I bought some sunflower seeds for this months Chalk Kids recipe and I had some leftover dark chocolate from my Oat Protein Breakfast Bars and as I'm trying to be less wasteful I decided that I would put the sunflower seeds to good work and oh my. These are addictive. I ate them so quickly. Which kind of defeats the idea of a healthy snack. Oops.
Dark chocolate is a lot healthier for you than you may think. I'm not talking about 30% dark chocolate you need at least 70%. Dark chocolate is great for iron, magnesium, copper, manganese and it also has plenty of potassium, phosphorus, zinc and selenium too. Combine this with the vitamin E and folate and you've got yourself a pretty health snack without even trying and that's a little bit of a treat too. I wouldn't recommend eating them all like I did haha.
Chocolate Sunflower Seed Bites
- Makes 6 bites (25p per bite) -
50g sunflower seeds
75g dark chocolate, melted.
Combine your melted chocolate and sunflower seeds.
Place on a covered baking tray (baking paper) and place in the fridge until set.
I told you it was easy!
Sounds (and looks) delicious! #ablogginggoodtime
