As far as memorable days go, you are unlikely to ever find anything that beats your wedding day. It is a day that is built up in our culture to a huge extent - perhaps it is a day you have been dreaming of all your life, in fact. Such a huge amount of preparation and money goes into executing even the most average of weddings. So, if you are hoping for something really special, you can expect to put in a lot of man hours to pull off your special day. Which is why after all that work, it only makes sense that you have various ways in which to document the whole day. Looking back on memories such as your wedding can be really special and the snapshots you take will last forever. Here are some innovative ways to create memories from your wedding day so it can be clear in your mind for years to come.
Wedding photographer
If you are going to make any huge expense on your wedding, it is definitely worth shelling out on a wedding photographer. No one amateur can possibly pull it off as well as a professional, and you won't believe the beauty of the photos when you see them. Sure, it might be a lot of money. The rent of the venue, the dress, and the photographer are all among the most pricey parts of the usual wedding day. Most wedding photographers are experts at simply fading into the background, so for the most part, you won't even know they are there - which means you'll end up with some amazingly candid shots.
Hashtag
If you feel like getting a bit more technological, why not introduce a wedding hashtag? This basically means giving your guests a couple of words to hashtag on social media (Instagram, Twitter etc) whenever they post anything to do with your wedding. For example, if your surname is Smith, you could suggest 'SmithWedding2017' or something similar. Pop it on a few pieces of signage around the venue so everyone gets the idea. Then, when it's all over, you can simply search the hashtag online and see everyone's pictures from that day all in one place.
Disposable cameras
Something that has grown hugely in popularity over the last few years is the concept of handing guests disposable cameras at the wedding so they can take their own pictures. Of course, it always helps to have a professional photographer there for the sleek, stylish shots. But you can end up with some hilarious photos as a result of disposable cameras, and they also give you a chance to see your guests having fun too (something you might miss in real time). Either offer the cameras at the very start, before the ceremony - although be aware that disposable cameras do make a little noise when they take a photo! A more workable option is to simply place the cameras on people's tables at the reception for them to use throughout the night. Collect them once the night is over and get them developed a few days later - you'll spend hours pouring over them and possibly howling with laughter too!
