It's the first of February and I'm officially starting with Valentines Day posts. To kick things off I've got a mini gift guide for you. But because life is too short, and a little bit scary right now, I thought that I would cheer you up with a terrible poem. I am not a poet. Not one bit, in fat my husband helped a little. He's a good egg.
So here it is. Enjoy (please don't laugh at me too much). Prepare for the cheese.
Valentines is creeping in,
and gift buying will soon begin.
Flowers and chocolates could be nice,
but this year they won't suffice.
Two years worth of sleep would be great,
or even some time to get my hair straight.
A hot cup of tea, with some cake,
that I don't have to share or bake.
Time together would be fun,
An afternoon date in the sun.
A glass of prosseco here and there,
I wonder what I could wear?
The beautiful jeans with the rose,
the pretty shoes with birds on the toes.
Some perfume that smells oh so sweet,
These things would be so hard to beat.
But in the end I don't really mind,
Because what matters is the thought behind.
These 8 years have been truly divine,
I'm glad that you are my Valentine.
