If you've been reading my blog for a while you may remember that back in August 2015 I shared what was then "baby"'s room tour. We've moved house and Edith has grown into a little girl so her room is more about practicality now too.
Of course, I like it to look nice for her but it needs to be toddler friendly. Also don't think for one second that her room looks like this all the time. It certainly doesn't. There's normally books and toys everywhere.
You might recognise some of the furniture from before and a few bits have been relocated, the chest of drawers to our room and the cot to the loft. Edith is now in a single bed. We did debate whether to get her a toddler bed but after research online most people said there was no point and to just go for a single bed. It was honestly the best decision we've made for Edith. She has always hated being cramped up, she hated her Moses basket, grew out of her co-sleeper and cot all quite quickly. She likes to spread out and back in the summer we decided to get her a single mattress. We had it on the floor until January this year.
There was no way Edith could have navigated off the bed by herself now she's able to be so a bed seemed perfect. She has absolutely loved it and has slept through and sleeps most of the night. Which considering she used to wake up every hour, is a real plus! People do think I'm rushing her ahead putting her in a bed at 16 months but it works so well for her and that's what is important!
The lovely people at Room To Grow sent Edith a pretty new Pony Show duvet cover. It has horses on oneside and a floral pattern on the other. When we opened it and I said look Edith horses she sat on the cover and made "click clock" noises haha. They sent two covers so I can give one away to you lovely people. Edith adores hers covers so why not enter to win a set?
Fill out the form below and on the 1st of March I'll draw a winner. Good luck.
