My Easter Weekend.

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

I don't think I've enjoyed a Bank Holiday as much as this one since the Jubilee. It's been a perfect few days spent with family. We spent Saturday with the Mr's family. As the weather was still rather nice at this point we decided to make the most of it and have a picnic in the garden. Ok, I say picnic we sat on chairs, but it was still a picnic in my eyes. This will be the first of many, I hope. We finished of the day playing Sorry and watching films. Harry Potter followed by Shrek. There's nothing better than a kids film on a Saturday afternoon.

Easter Sunday we spent the day around my Mum's for a few good reasons. One, it's nice to spend time with family. Two, football was on and apparently that's important and three, Mum's roast dinner (there is nothing better!) I made another mini egg rocky road loaf and that went down well. In the afternoon we were forced by my brother to play Wii golf. I ended up losing, no surprise there!

Yesterday we went to a street sale and jumble sale at the church hall. Walking there we saw so many beautiful blossom trees. Everyone got fed up with me saying "oooh can we stop to take a picture". The church hall was selling bacon rolls and we couldn't resist.

I didn't end buying anything this time. We then walked along the seafront which was so peaceful and we stopped in a nearby pub for a frothy cappuccino (my favourite). We headed back to my mum via a chipshop and ended up having sausage and chips. It was delicous. We then headed home to housework. After that I thought it was the perfect time to break open one of my Easter eggs and have a cuppa.

 This weekend was just perfect.
