Working out what you need to buy for baby can be confusing and a lot of hard work. I can guarantee you will spend a lot of time checking lists on line that tell you what you need to buy for your little one. We went through a lot of these lists and picked out things we thought we would need rather than just use one definitive list. Obviously we don't know yet if we've made the right decisions with what we decided to pick but I'm sure time will tell.

One thing that I knew I wanted to get was a room thermometer, our house can be really hot in summer and cold in winter so knowing what temperature the room is was important so I know how to dress baby and if I need to turn the heating up. There are a lot of apps that you can download to your phone that can give you a reading but after a lot of searching most of these are a con and don't give you an accurate reading of the indoor temperature.

So the gro egg seemed like the best option. There's a reason why so many new mums rely on it. It's so simple to use. You plug it in and let the gro egg do it's thing. It's easy to read and you can check that the nursery is the right temperature just from what colour is the gro egg is glowing.

The gro egg lights up blue if the room is too cold, 16c and below. The perfect temperature is a yellow glow, which is between 16-20c, a helpful smiley face appears too! An amber glow indicates that room is a little warm 20-24c and red indicates that it's too hot. 24C and above. There is a handy little instruction leaflet that comes in the box that tells you what you can do to help adjust the room temperature and how you can make your little one more comfortable.

It's definitely a piece of baby safety equipment that I would recommend especially if you are having a winter baby.

Although the gro egg was sent to me for my consideration, All opinions on the the product our my own. Read my disclaimer here.
