I thought that I would share my day with you. Edith has been very irritable in the last week with her teeth. Poor baby. So there has been some tough Mama days. I thought I'd share a break down of everything I did one Thursday. It was a rather busy day, as you'll see:
Thursday 24th March 2016
00:58 - Edith wakes for feed. Settles back to sleep.
03:52 -Edith wakes for feed. Settles back to sleep.
5:00 - Edith wakes. Burped, chills and back to sleep in my bed.
5:17 - Edith wakes. Daddy takes Edith downstairs some I can get a couple of hours sleep.
7:00 - Wake up.
7:05 - Eat Breakfast (wholemeal toast).
7:10 - Feed Edith. Only on for a minute.
7:19 - Drink a cup of tea.
7:25 - Bathroom bits.
7:33 - Sit with Edith watching CBeebies. Although she's playing with my make up bag.
7:40 - Watch Hey Dugee. (Me not Edith!)
7:50 - Express full boob, that Edith hasn't feed from.
8:00 - Call the Dr's 20 times before getting through (no exaggeration)
8:15 - Feed Edith.
8:30 - Rock Edith off to sleep.
8:50 - Apply my make up.
9:15 - Edith wakes up.
9:20 - Nappy change. Get dressed and get us both ready for the day.
9:45 - Head out .
10:00 - Have a hot chocolate, glass of water and cake, feed Edith (not on for long each time).
11:20 - Nappy change.
11:40 - Walk to the dr's
12:10 - Dr's appointment.
12:30 - Get home.
12:35 - Feed Edith (not on for long).
12:40 - Play with Edith.
12:56 - Answer a phone call regarding magazine feature.
13:05 - Make myself a glass of orange juice
13:15 - Feed Edith.
13:20 - Edith asleep.
13:25 - Check my social media.
14:00 - Edith gets woken up by postman at the door.
14:10 - Make myself lunch, scrambled eggs, with Edith in my arms
14:20 - Eat eggs with Edith in one hand food in the other
14:27 - Nappy Change.
14:30 - Playtime with Edith. Try and take time to make myself some water.
14:40 - Remember that I need to put our dinner in the slow cooker. Prepare it whilst Edith is being a grump and trying to keep her happy by singing at her.
14:50 - Make myself some water before picking Edith up out of her chair.
14:55 - Help Edith feed herself an Organix finger food carrot stick.
14:58 - Stop Edith from eating a peg that was on the floor. (Where an Earth did that come from?)
14:58 - Clean Edith up.
14:59 - Drink the water I made 10 minutes ago whilst keeping Edith happy and not pulling her bouncy chair on herself.
15:07 - Take some blog photos for this post. And some for Instagram
15:15 - Prepare Edith some food
15:20 - Feed Edith her food
15:30 - Have Edith cry in my face, she's really not happy.
15:35 - Feed Edith.
15:40 - Calm her down.
15:43 - Feed Edith.
15:50 - Edith asleep
15:51 - Watch a bit of catch up tv to relax.
15:54 - Put Edith down so I can go for a wee.
15:57 - Edith wakes up. Pick her back up.
16:02 - Attempt to put Edith down again. Fails
16:06 - Give up trying to put her down and take her with me.
16:15 - Daddy gets home. That wakes Edith up.
16:20 - While Edith plays with daddy I tidy up all the things laying around and make myself a coffee.
16:37 - Break open a bag of Mini Eggs.
17:00 - More playtime with Edith.
17:25 - Nappy change.
17:37 - Feed Edith.
17:42 - Watch a spot baby TV.
17:46 - Check on our dinner.
17:57 - Rock Edith.
18:00 - Feed Edith.
18:07 - Edith asleep.
18:08 - Watch The A Word on demand and wait for husband to get home from pub (work friends leaving drinks)
19:10 - Husband home .
19:40 - Eat dinner.
20:00 - Bath and take make up off.
20:40 - Dry hair.
21:00 - Sit down at laptop to blog.
22:25 - Brush my teeth.
22:30 - Get Edith into her PJ's and nappy change.
22:40 - Put Edith in our bed. Bad cough.
22:50 - Daddy takes Edith downstairs .
23:20 - Edith won't settle. Go downstairs and get her.
23:25 - Feed Edith
23:49 - Put Edith down for the night
23:53 - Mama goes to bed.
Oh, sweetie, I feel you. I've written a couple of posts like this so people know what life's like with a colicky or teething baby. Jenson is cutting three teeth at the same time and he's asleep on my chest now as I check Bloglovin on my phone. It's fucking hard, isn't it!
