A quick warning this is a photo heavy post!

I thought that I would share our honeymoon on here. We had such a lovely time and I thought it would lovely to looks back on this post in years to come. I should say I've not shared our Wedding on my blog even though we've been married nearly 6 months. We were in talks with a magazine featuring us but we've not heard anything back from them so next week I'll be sharing the first lot of Wedding posts! But for now I'm going to share our Honeymoon. There's nothing like starting back to front.

 - Monday -

On the 25th of July we my husband, loaded 3 suitcases, carrier bags and a travel cot into our car. I didn't know how much stuff a baby could need! She had a great big case and we had a small case each. We set off just after 9:30 and made our way to Norwich. We don't live far away from there at all, in fact we didn't travel that far to our lodge. When we booked our Honeymoon Edith barely made a 10 minute journey to my mums house so we didn't want anywhere to far away. We came across Forest Holidays at Thorpe Forest. It looked perfect. Just what we were looking for.

We decided that on the Monday we would do some shopping, (meaning buy Edith lots, we got a few birthday bits for her as well as Toodloo costing £15 (she was a good girl on the journey down)), have a nice meal, we went to Bills, and then get a shop in for our week. We spent £75! That's double our normal shop, but hey we were treating ourselves! We headed to our lodge. We drove down a big driveway, lined with forest. We knew we had made the right choice it was beautiful.

We checked in, got our key and headed to the cabin. Luckily our cabin wasn't too far away from the forest retreat. We got in and looked round. It was lovely. Really clean and modern and perfect for us 3. We had a couples lodge booked as we didn't need anymore beds as we had the travel cot, although Edith slept in bed with us every night! Once the bags were down we did what any sane person would do. Hot tub. We were so excited. They do recommend on their health and safety video you have to watch that children under 4 shouldn't go in. We couldn't leave Edith out and we kept an eye on her temperature and only stayed in for 10 minutes at a time with her. She loved it as much as we did.

We made our dinner, shop bought pizzas and as soon as Edith was asleep we headed back out to the hot tub, this time with the prosecco! We came in and watched Into the Woods, a film we had both wanted to watch.

- Tuesday -

Edith slept better in the bed with us than she normally does so my husband woke up at 6 with her, while I caught up on the sleep I missed in the night. We had pancakes for breakfast and then packed the car ready for a day out.

We went to Banham Zoo, which was only 10 or so minutes away from where we were staying. It was a fun day out. We walked round the whole zoo, enjoyed a ride on the train and stopped for some lunch. We finally got Edith to sleep, had another walk round and then headed home, exiting through the gift shop. We picked up a toy owl for Edith as she had waved at them earlier in the day.

When we got back to the lodge my husband popped to the forest retreat and booked himself a place on the archery lesson they had the next day. As soon as he got back we, of course, got in the hot tub. After we dried off, we went for a quick walk in the hopes that Edith would fall asleep. She didn't. She was a grump and ended up danger napping when we got back. My husband fired up the BBQ while Edith napped. By the time she woke up it was time to eat.

She finally went off at 8:30. We got into the hot tub and then came in and watched another couple of films before heading to bed.

Part 2 and our Vlog will be live in an extra blog post tomorrow!

Where did you spend your honeymoon?
