As promised here is part two of our honeymoon.

- Wednesday -

We decided that we would have one really chilled out day in the week and Wednesday was it. My husband had booked himself onto the archery lesson. Before he headed to that we shared a pot of earl grey tea in the forest retreat. The rain was pouring down but his archery lesson was still on. We stayed for a little bit and watched him, he's left handed when it comes to archery (he's told everyone this since). Edith was getting a little grouchy so we headed back to the lodge while he finished up his lesson.

Edith fell asleep and when we she woke up had a little picnic lunch on the fluffy rug on the lodge floor. We I had planned to explore the forest and take some photographs for about me section and a few family ones. The rain had stopped so we walked the same route as we had done the afternoon before. My husband took some of me, then me and Edith. I then set up the tripod to capture a few of us together and then some of those two. I adore the pictures I got. We're going to print out a few for our gallery wall in the new house.

We headed back to the lodge. I bet you can't guess what we did. Of course hot tub time! Edith had another sleep and then we then got dressed up a little (as much as you can with a baby) and headed off to a local restaurant called Zaks. People had raved about it and we gave it a go. We weren't too impressed but the food was alright and the service was standard. I don't think we will go back. We headed back home to get Edith to sleep. We spent the evening in exactly the same way. Hot tub and this time a glass of cider. Classy or what?

- Thursday -

We spent the day at Bressingham. Again it was only 10 minutes down the road. We arrived there and got onto the carousel. That was a mistake. Edith hated it crying the whole time. The man kindly stopped the ride early so we could get off. She didn't trust it the whole time we were there. Clingy to me every time we went anywhere near it. We went on trains she wasn't a fan of those either. It was a bit of a disaster! We walked round before stopping for lunch in their little cafe.

After lunch we walked around the gardens. It was so beautiful. I could have spent the afternoon there, but my husbands can not stand gardens! So we walked all the way round, went to the gift shop and then drove back home.

We got to the lodge just in time as it started to chuck it down. We spent the afternoon watching films and napping, two of us fell asleep and it wasn't me! We packed all our belongings up ready for our 10am check out in the morning. We ate our dinner, Edith went to sleep and we waited for the rain to stop to enjoy our last tome in hot tub. We came back in watched a film (are you sensing a recurring theme here yet?) and went to bed.

- Friday -

We were ready really early and we decided to just head home rather than another day out. Relaxing is exhausting! Edith fell asleep on the way back and we had a really lazy day when we got home. We also had a ridiculos amount of washing. That I've only just caught up with!

We made a little vlog of our week. Nothing spectacular but lovely memories for us to look back on. After you've watched it would be amazing if you could subscribe to my channel I'm going to be upping my YouTube game and could do with a few new friends over there!

I would love to hear how you spent your honeymoon or how you're planning too?

We would also like to say a massive thank you to every one who gave us money on our wedding day. None of this week would have happened without you!

  1. Love that you honeymooned in Norfolk! I was born and grew up there but now live up in the North East, although my family are all still in Norwich so I get to visit quite often.

Zaks used to be so good in the 80s, we always went there as a family treat but when we went back a few years ago it had really changed, it's so disappointing now!

So glad yet had such a lovely honeymoon!

Too bad the little one didn't like the carousel, funny when they are meant to like something and then they absolutely hate it haha. Thanks for the lovely update and sharing with #StayClassyMama!
