For someone who used to be organised I'm pretty useless at the moment. I always seem to get caught out by the weekends I work and run out of blog posts to get me through the weekend. I apologise and will try harder next time (ooops, smack on the wrist for me!) Anyway enough of the excuses and onto how I spent my Tuesday morning. It was lovely and relaxing.

We met up with the Mr's sister and family and headed for a long walk along the seafront. If you live by the sea you're probably like me and take it for granted there have been some years where I've not gone anywhere near it but this year I've visited a lot and I'm glad I have because the seaside is mighty beautiful on a summers day.

My Sister in law and I often go out and it always results in a stop in a tearoom or somewhere for a coffee and this time was no different. We even came up with a great idea for my hen do involving afternoon tea (which is a long way off) but great for when the time is right.

We stopped at Cafe Grand which is becoming a favourite of mine. I have a real soft spot for the chocolate cream tea they have. A hot chocolate with cream and a chocolate scone (with chocolate chips) you then get two little pots one full of clotted cream (yum) and one full of chocolate spread. Oh it's amazing and I need to recreate it.

We all settled for a slice of cake or biscuits except for one. The Mr's brother in law. He tucked in to a jar of hot chili pickled quails eggs. With the faces he was pulling I am assuming they were rather spicy. We finished up in the cafe said out thank yous and headed back home stopping at the 99p on the way. Oh my. I never realised how amazing their stuff is. I nearly came home with a basket full of stuff. I settled on jelly moulds and mini windmills in the end but I'm going back, let me tell you.

We got home, sat down and had a cuppa before sorting the rest of the carboot stuff out (we have so much crap!) and then onto the cleaning.

I do love days off!
