If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen our happy news and the reason for my online absence. We are expecting a baby and September can't come quick enough! I can't even begin to explain how happy we are.
It's been a rough few months. The nausea, although terrible, was much easier to cope with than the extreme tiredness. I've never felt so tired in my life. The combination of work and pregnancy has left me wiped and lounging on the sofa or getting an early night is the only thing I've had the energy for. But it's all going to be worth it! And hopefully my energy begins to pick up.
A couple of weeks ago we bought some frozen berries to have with yoghurt. The berries were really tart and although they were lovely it was a little too much. So we decided that the best thing to do was turn them into a tasty smoothie. The best thing is nothing in it is expensive. I love making smoothies and juices but by the time you've bought everything it's not really worth the money when you can buy a carton for a lot cheaper. But this recipe, if you can call it that, is a combination of fruit, yoghurt, milk, honey and bit of icing sugar if you need to sweeten it more! It's really simple and really tasty too.
You will need:
1/2 punnet of frozen berries
1 500ml tub of natural yoghurt (the 45p yoghurt works the best)
100ml of milk
2 tbsp honey
Combine all the ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth. You may want to taste the smoothie before serving to see if you need to add icing sugar or more honey to sweeten it.
Enjoy!
Congratulations on the news!! So exciting! These smoothies are my fave too, so easy but so tasty! You should try them with frozen mango chunks next, so good! Lucy, www.aspectatorsport.com xx
