Things I've found and thrifted #2

A quick round up post of some things I've found recently. On Sunday we woke up extra early to head to a different carboot. It wasn't as good as our normal one and I've learnt my lesson that you should stick to what you know. I left empty handed but it was still a nice morning out.

I picked one of the dresses from our local carboot a couple of weeks back for 50p. The other one I got from the charity shop my mum volunteers at for £3. The headscarf was also from there for a tiny 50p.

I picked up this shirt that I wear as a kimono, from another charity shop on Saturday for £2.

The two ties are for the Mr. Very soon he'll be needing them when he starts teaching training. We've been collecting them for a while. I love the polka dot one and the duck tie is rather quirky.

Finally I picked up this herb planters. There's nothing better than fresh herbs. These were on offer in B&M bargains for just £2.99. I had to have them.

I haven't posted an outfit in ages and it's not because I don't want to. It's because we seem to have rubbish weather at the minute and catching the sunshine and staying out of the rain is proving difficult. Roll on summer when I can photograph after 3 in the afternoon. Living on the most Eastly point in England means I see the sun first but also we are the first place to lose the sun. Not fair! 

These are my new reading glasses. I've been developing a bit of a squint, especially in the evenings and when I'm at my laptop. So they are working wonders. I was told that my eyes looked tired and stressed. Erm that may be because I am tired and stressed!

I'm feeling so ill. I took these photo's yesterday and my eyes look dead on the last photo. If I'd of taken these today it would not be pretty. Feeling terrible is an understatement.

I'm hoping to get the right mix of fashion, food and lifestyle posts. I love baking and fashion equally so I'm going to try and balance posts. I hope you guys like the balance of the two.

I'll be posting up a review on some amazing jams I've been sent as well as a post explaining how I photograph food. I think you'll be surprised in my methods.

I have had Jackson by Johnny Cash and June Carter in my head all day. I love the film Walk the Line and we have a Johnny Cash CD in the car so there's no surprise this is in my head.

I got this top in my Monki order, I went a little bit mad and got some really pretty tops from their sale. I brought a beautiful straw boater and pretty summer dress. Now here's waiting for the sun.

I've been trying to get my uni work done today but it's not going great. Oh well another week before it's due.

I also made macarons today and they went well. I can blog a recipe if your interested?

Winter Coat!

Coat - Primark £25

I've struggled this year! Finding a winter coat has been a task. I brought a practical parka from New Look but I wanted a tailored coat.

 After searching pretty much everywhere I ended up in Primark and found this beauty! I'm really impressed with it and all £25 sounds like a lot for Primark it is a coat and you'd be pushed to find a coat cheaper elsewhere!

So this is my coat for winter and I really need it at the moment, it's freezing!
