Lexington Yellow.

Tuesday, March 18, 2014

Is it my imagination or do these nails look a little bit like these? It's what they remind me of haha! I've been searching for a bright yellow for a while and I picked up Lexington Yellow from the NYC range in superdrug. I had a red from that range before which was lovely although it dried up after a while. But the coverage is great. I am planning to hopefully do a spot of nail art with daisies and some different spring/summer inspired designs but we'll build up to that! The lighter colour is a nude from MUA. You can't beat their nail polish for just £1!

I spend yesterday baking and icing Easter biscuits with my sister in law and nieces, which will appear on here soon. It was a lovely way to spend my day off but left me with lots of housework to do in the afternoon. But I wouldn't have it any other way!

Nail art & snow ootd!

Friday, January 18, 2013

Last night I was invited to a local beauty salon to have my nails done!I love nail art and when it was suggested I leaped at the idea. I had Gellish polish applied which is dried by a UV lamp. Sarah, the lovely beautician spend ages making sure everything was perfect. She helped me pick designs and then carefully painted the patterns on freehand. The floral pattern is so cute!

If your local to my area definitely check out Millie Rose salon! I felt so relaxed and the salon is beautiful. In fact I'm going back to take some more photographs! I recommend the salon 100% and I plan to go back for more treatments.

Giles Gold Nail Wraps RRP £5.99

I picked these up from work for 50p when we were selling them off. I've always wanted to try nail wraps but they are really expensive so I thought this would be the perfect time to try them.

And I am rather impressed. I put them on Thursday night and they've survived showers, washing up water and everyday wear and tear. They peeled off well too so no messy nail varnish remover.

I am impressed but I wouldn't pay full price for them but at 50p a go. You can't argue with that!

(Excuse my swollen puffy fingers in the bottom picture, they've been playing me up all week. I think a trip to the Dr's is in order!)

I've had this Models Own Hedkandi glitter polish for ages and I've been meaning to try it, and here it is. Layered over Nails Inc Tate.

A customer at work commented saying they were very festive. Maybe a Christmas nail art??

Another quick nail post. Another Models Own polish. This time it's Indian Ocean. It's a perfect shimmer, someone I work with describe it as "mermaidy"!

I'm hoping to post a lot more. But I'm always running out of time!
