Picnics in the garden.

Monday, April 21, 2014

Top - Primark
Dress - Vintage
Necklace - Roam
Sunglasses - H&M

Let's start with a very British tradition. Talking about the weather. I'm a little annoyed (to say the least) that this weekend hasn't been as glorious as the past week. It always works out that my days off the weather is terrible. It's just not fair and if you are listening weather controlling people start making more sunshine.

Now I've got that rant out of the way, this weekend has been perfect. Saturday we had a picnic in the garden and yesterday we spent the day round my mums. The boys watched the football while we made my mini egg rocky road and then mum made us a roast dinner. It was perfect.

Today, hopefully, we are going to pop out to a street sale. It's become a bit of a bank holiday tradition and as you know I love to pick up little thrift finds. You never know what you can find! Then hopefully we grab a coffee somewhere then maybe I'll head into the garden and start planting. Who knows? I'm happy to just see where the day takes me.

I do love time off and spending it with the people I love. I'll be sharing my whole weekend with you on tomorrows blog post.

Lately #27

Sunday, April 14, 2013

I do apologise for the very picture heavy post, but this weekend we went on a little trip to North Norfolk. We stayed in a luxury caravan at Heacham Beach. It was relaxing and nice to get away from my busy schedule/

We visited Sandringham which is something I've wanted to do forever. I spent the day in awe and photographing everything.

We also visited Thursford which was a flash from the past. We rode on the carousel and listened to the organs.

We got back home late this afternoon. I'm tired from travelling and being out all day but I had such a nice time.

My mini break!

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

As some of you may know me and Mr swan headed off for a little weekend away to Kent (abouts 3 hours from where I live). We had a lovely time. We explored Rochester and had a perfect night in just relaxing.

When we visited Rochester we came upon the most wonderful vintage/antique shop Fieldstaff Antiques. The shop was like a treasure cove. Beautiful dresses, fur coats and stoles. Hat's you just had to try on (none fitted my rather big head!), little stockings and even a pair of Mary Quant tights. It was a pure delight and I could have spent the whole day just exploring. Mr Swan had to drag me away!

We also explored charity shops. Unfortunately nothing caught my eye. But we had such fun exploring. We then popped into the bakers for a delicious loaf of bread and the sweet shop to fill up on sugary delights! It was such a perfect little weekend. It was nice to get away from the terror of essay writing and uni work.

Anyway now I'm back!

Just to remind you that today is the last day to enter my giveaway! I'd love a few more entries so be sure to take a look, comment and enter!

Here's the link for you!

Weekend away!

Thursday, April 12, 2012

From tomorrow until Monday morning I'll be away! So I won't be able to post properly. I am going to schedule a post for Saturday! Hopefully that will work!

I'll be posting pics on instagram (if I can get it too work, having a blip at the minute!) and updating my twitter so if you want updates you can check there! I'll be pestering Mr Swan to take some outfit photographs so expect a blog post when I get back!

Also I still have my giveaway open, it's the last weekend for it, so make sure you get your entry in! I want a few more people to enter! Come on followers!

I am tempted to get a video camera (mama swan told me I can get a good Kodak one for £45!) so I can vlog more! I quite enjoy doing it and you guys seem to like it! It's something, I'll definitely consider!

Anyway must get back to packing eek! I never know what to take!

weekend away wishlist!

Friday, March 16, 2012

I will be soon be going on a little weekend break, so naturally  my mind has turned to WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR? So to ease my pain  I thought I'd put together my weekend get a way wish list!

Perfect dress to wear day or night. It's perfect. I would dress it up with a fifties style headscarf and a cute pair or wedges!

What a cute pair of shorts! Depending on the weather I would team them with black opaques or if it's hot and I'm feeling brave (I hate my knees) bare legs.

I really need a skater dress. One to wear on evenings out. And two because it looks so cute with a jumper over the top on colder days! And at £7.95 what a bargain!

Ice cream print is everywhere. And this necklace is super cute!

Here are the cute wedges to wear with the lace dress! They are pretty and comfortable and only £4.99!

You just can't trust the Great British Weather so a cosy cover up is essential! The heart cut outs make the jumper a bit different and bit more summery!

I have seen a lot of these t shirts on the blogging rounds and I really love this one. I would make it a bit girly add a pretty pastel skirt or pair of coral coloured jeans!

I love Topshop's bralets but there is no way I can justify £30 for such a tiny piece of material. Finding nice bralets on ebay is really difficult. But this was the nicest one I found!

What are you going to buy?
