No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser Review!

Thursday, August 02, 2012

RRP £10

I brought this cleanser when boots were giving away No7 vouchers so it only cost me £5 which I thought was great value. This is No7's answer to the infamous Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I am a massive fan of Liz Earle and I didn't expect this to live up to it at all. But I was pleasantly surprised.

The product comes with it's own muslin cloth just like the L.E. I really love the packaging too. The pump gives you an exact amount of product which was the perfect amount for my face. The cleanser is in a massive bottle and I think it will last for a while.

I alternate this cleanser with my L'Occitane Angelica one. And I sometimes use both if I want a deep cleanse.

The product claims to brighten your skin and I really feel that it works, my face is a lot brighter after using it and my skin feels so soft and nourished!

The formula is the same consistency and it's pretty much an exact dupe of L.E. The main difference is the smell, L.E smells a lot more herbal based where as this has no smell at all.

Overall I really love the No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser and it works just as well as L.E, it is also is cheaper, which is a bonus!

*Quick update on Dolly Peg, we will be launching on the 10th of August which is next Friday (a week tomorrow) I can't wait! *

REN Skincare Kit Review!

Monday, July 16, 2012

RRP £16*

Another magazine freebie review! On the copy of this months Red magazine was this beautiful REN skincare kit and who am I to refuse free skincare? So I snapped it up. The kit contains the Hydra-Calm Global Protection Day Cream Sensitive, Active 7 Radiant Eye Gel and Vetiver v7 Hand and Body Cream.

Hydra-Calm Global Protection Day Cream Sensitive: Now this is the product I am in love with and I'm going to be gutted when I use it up. I have been using for the past week and I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not but my skin has cleared up. The formula is light but really nourishing for my skin. It feels plumped and smooth. It retails at £27 for 50ml! Which for a budget beauty girl is a lot of money! But it does an amazing job. I am finding that using more expensive skincare works far better than cheaper skincare and I do have a love for expensive skincare at the minute!

Active 7 Radiant Eye Gel: I've been using the eye cream every other night. Eye cream is something I'm trying to get into the habit of using next year I reach the grand old age of 20 and so I'm starting to panic about wrinkles (how vain of me?). This eye cream really cools the area around my eyes and it makes them feel less puffy! Always a good thing. It doesn't help my dark circles but I don't think anything will. I do like this eye cream but I'm not to bothered about repurchasing it. It retails at £20 for 15ml.  If someone wants to buy it for me then I'll happily accept!

Vetiver v7 Hand and Body Cream: To be honest body cream is body cream to me. I've been using lots of different ones and enjoyed them. This is no exception. It is a really nice cream leaves my skin feeling super smooth and it's nice as it has no scent, so you can put any perfume over the top. I found this cream great for putting on my legs after I had shaved them, I find that some creams make my legs sting! I do love this product and with a price tag of £9 it's not too pricey!

Did you get the REN skincare kit? What are your thoughts?

Witch Flawless Friends Event #1

Sunday, July 15, 2012

Some of the pictures are from the following people: Lily - llymlrs.com Law - thatsoyesterday.blogspot.com & Sarah - amilliondresses.blogspot.co.uk

Dress – H by Henry Holland, Tights & Bag – Primark, Jacket – Charity Shop, Scarf & Shoes** – New Look

Total Outfit Price: £36.09

So yesterday was the Witch Skincare Flawless Friends meet up. There are 20 of us all together but not everyone was able to make it. The day was amazing! Yesterday was my first ever event as a blogger and I had an awful feeling that I would feel and look horribly out of place (my blog is 7 months old). But I had no need to worry, as everyone was lovely.

We started off the day at Wahaca, a Mexican restaurant on Southbank. It’s an amazing place and the food was delicious. I tried cactus! Oh yeah. It was weird but tasted good. At Wahaca we were given a present a lovely pair of Hunter wellies (we were originally meant to be going to vintage festival)!

We then headed to the London Eye in a private pod! There was lots of picture taking and giggling as well as pervy man in the pod next to us trying to take our photo! Nice.

We then found out what the wellies were for! We headed off to the duck tour. Which if you don’t know involves a little bus (type thing, nice a technical) that takes you around London on the usual sight seeing tour you then head into the Thames. In the car! I almost died it was rather scary but a great experience! The tour guide was crazy and talked to us about llamas and everything in between. We were given a little bag of sweets (how cute) and a duck whistle to blow at the tourists!

It was an amazing day and I want to say thank you to everyone for being so lovely and welcoming. I’ve made some new friends and have never laughed so such in my life! And a massive thank you to Witch Skincare. Who arranged everything for us! Such a great day! Love you guys.

Botanicals Rose & Camellia Skincare Range Review!

Friday, July 13, 2012

RRP: £12.95*

RRP: £16.95*

RRP: £14.95*

RRP: £11.95*

RRP: £16.95*

I was sent some samples from the lovely people at Botanicals. As you know by know skincare is my favourite thing to try at the minute. So I snapped up the chance to try the Rose & Camellia range.

Bontanicals is a natural skincare company and all products are organic and pure. Something I am thinking about more, putting lots of chemicals on my face. The first thing about these products is how beautiful they smell. So floral and natural.

Facial Balm: The facial balm is a very rich moisturiser and perfect to use as a night cream. My oily/combo skin has been all over the place at the minute and I'm suffering from dry patchy skin. The facial balm is cleared up my dry skin perfectly. Even my Eight Hour Cream couldn't get rid of it!

Cleansing Melt: The cleansing melt is a lovely cleanser. Simple and easy to use. I used the hot cloth method (one of my favourites) and it left my skin silky smooth and perfectly clean.

Skin Tonic: This was the best product for me! The smell, oh my! So good. The skin tonic can be used as a toner or as a cleanser on a lazy day. It really wakes you up in the mornings. It is great at taking dirt off and leaves your skin feeling delicious. I will be purchasing this!

Clay Mask: I used this on Wednesday night. I'm also cautious at using face masks as most leave me red faced and burning! So not a good look. But this was amazing, no allergic reaction! Bonus. My skin felt to smooth and plumped it was amazing. I am going to purchase this too!

Skin Polish: This is a face exfoliater. Great for shifting the dead skin and dirt. I loved it. Again my skin felt so nice after using it and my face was silky smooth.

Overall I am extremely impressed with Botanicals and I will be recommending it to everyone! The prices are reasonable for natural skincare and the results are so worthwhile. It is worth every penny. I suggest you head over to Botanicals website now!

Witch BB Cream

Wednesday, June 27, 2012

RRP £6.99*

Now if you have seen my Youtube videos you'll know that I had a love hate relationship with BB creams. I want to love them but skin hates them. I need a lot of coverage for my skin and having oily/combo skin I need a BB cream that's not full of oil. "A dewy complexion" to me equals a "shiny mess". But my days of hating BB creams are over!

Introducing you all to Witch BB cream. Know as you probably know by now I am a Witch Flawless friend and I got sent this over in my welcome pack. I've tried most of the products now so I'll be reviewing some of those too. But as this product is new I wanted to try it out. And boy am I in love.

To begin with I had bad thoughts, I expected my face to be an oily mess which no coverage. But my fears were indeed conquered. The coverage is amazing. Spots? What spots? And even under eye circles were eradicated! I did top my skin up with a dab on concealed but I was really please with the results. The BB cream offers SPF15 which is great as you don't have to worry about SPF in your moisturiser.

The BB cream is pink toned which suited my skin tone. I don't know if Witch are planning to bring out other shades but I don't think the shade I was sent would suit darker skin tones.

I find that the BB cream is good for a day when you don't want lasting full coverage. I wore it out my day's off when I don't need full make up. I used Witch Skin Clearing Primer before the BB cream and this made it last for longer.

Overall I really loved this product and I will be repurchasing when mine runs out.

♥

It's the last few days of nominating for the Cosmo Blog Awards. I'd really appreciate it if you guys could give me a little nomination! Thank you all so much!
