Ghost Moonlight!

Thursday, May 09, 2013

I love perfume but I am really useless at explaining what it smells like. All the perfumes I own have the same notes. They are all floral oriental a slightly woody smell.

I adore this GHOST perfume. It smells beautiful it contains ginger, bergamont, cantalope, orange blossom, pink peony and lily of the valley which gives it a hint of musk.

I would love a full size version of this to sit on my dresser!

It would make a perfect present for a loved one.

Beanies Coffee!

Thursday, May 02, 2013

Today has been really lazy. Although I've crossed a fair bit of my to do list. So to celebrate I sat in the sunny corner of my room and treated myself to a Beanies coffee*.

I had the Irish Cream flavour and boy did it perk me up. I was a little worried I wouldn't like it but it was so rich creamy I couldn't resist. It would have been perfect with a nice slice of cake.

Beanies* comes in lots of different flavours like sticky toffee, chocolate cherry and Swiss chocolate almonds. All of those sound perfect for an afternoon pick me up.

I was lucky enough to be sent the new Ryvita thins* to try and I couldn't think of anything nicer to have with them than homemade guacamole. It's something I've always wanted to make and today was finally the day.

You need to make sure that the avocado is ripe. There's not point making guacamole with unripe avocado!

The Ryvita thins are the perfect for dipping and they have only 27 calories a slice! I had the multi-seed ones and they are so addictive and perfect for snacking!

Adapted from Good Food

1 large ripe tomato
1 ripe avocado
juice 1/2 large lime
handful coriander , leaves and stalks chopped, plus a few leaves, roughly chopped, to serve
1 small red onion , finely chopped
1 chilli , red or green, deseeded and finely chopped

Scoop out the flesh of the avocado and place in a bowl, saving the avocado stone. Chop up the tomato until it's like pulp.

Add the remaining ingredients except the coriander to the bowl and season.

Mash all the ingredients together.

If you're not serving the dip straight away place the stone back into the guacamole this stops the avocado from going brown.

Before you serve scatter with coriander.

Enjoy with  Ryvita's, tortilla chips or potato wedges!
