Kimono - Charity Shop
Jeans - Primark
Camisole & Shoes - New Look

This weekend has flown by and this Bank Holiday weekend I was lucky enough to have the Saturday and Sunday off but not today. I'm back at work and I've been told that the weather today is supposed to be lovely. Personally I hope it rains. It serves you right for having the day off! Haha! (I am very jealous)

Saturday we headed out to fetch some gardening bits. I needed compost and few other bits and pieces and I've made a little bit more progress in the garden but I'll update you on that soon. We then went off into town and had a quick look around the charity shops. That's were I picked up this pretty shirt. As soon as I saw it I knew that I would want to wear it as kimono. I am obsessed by them at the minute! I also picked up a few other pieces.

Yesterday we woke up early and headed to a different car boot to the one we usually go to. It wasn't really worth it and we are going to stick to the usual one from now on. I left empty handed. We headed out for breakfast with the Mr's family and then back home. After a quick sit down I headed out again to meet an old school friend and I photographed her lovely girls.

It was such a busy, but lovely weekend. I can't wait until tomorrow for another day off!

I'm so bored of grey skies and cold weather. I'm so looking forward to Easter then summer. Warm weather and no uni! It will be bliss. And I can post outfits and I can do food shoots outside. Can you tell I want summer! I'm bearing my waist, there's no way your seeing my stomach.

Today marks mine and Mr Swan's 4 year anniversary. We've decided to have Chinese tonight and then go out for a meal on Friday.

Tomorrow is pay day and student bursary day so I'm looking to get a new laptop. Any laptop suggestions will be great! I will also be buying the What Katie Ate cookbook. Her photography is breathtaking.

London Fashion Week #2

Bora Aksu S/S13

As soon as the invitation fell through my letterbox I knew that I was in for a treat. The invite bore a petal crown and I already wished for summer. Bora Aksu was my second show of the day and I already had a taste for beautiful made clothes.

The collection was inspired by Queens, Opulence and silhouettes with a regal status. Each model wore a crown upon their heads, the must have accessory for S/S13 maybe, and each piece of clothing oozed sophistication and lady like glamour. From the shows that I saw S/S13 is about glamour, like that of a women from the 1920's/30's.

Low waists and sheer layering all in delicious ice cream pastel colours. There was not a neon in site (thank the lord!). My favourite thing about the show was the amazing details and in particular the beautiful collars. Something that will defiantly be sticking around. The colour palette was beautiful and summed up a glorious Great Gatsby inspired summer. "Refreshing blues, dove greys and delicate whites" were definitely on show.

The lines of the clothes were soft and loose fitting, gone are the days of body con (yay!). Expect sheer loose fitting dresses, shirts, skirts and jackets. The soft tailoring was inspiring, layering sheer over sheer and combining just one key colour.

As much as I love Winter, I am rather looking forward to next summer, lets hope the high street interpret the trends so we don't have to fork out a few thousand!

There's a few more fashion week posts coming, so keep and eye out for those!

Lovestruck Clothing!

Saturday, August 04, 2012

A few weeks ago I was sent a press release for Love Struck Clothing and loved the clothes! Up until today I completely forgot I hadn't posted about it already, but anyway here you go!

"Lovestruck is a flirty feminine clothing brand. It offers vintage style with a playful twist. From simple sophisticated dresses to flirty florals, the brand offers an eclectic mix of designs. Lovestruck was formed in 2009 with the aim to offer affordable boutique style clothing. Working in season Lovestruck is able to offer a fashion focused clothing range and is continually producing new designs throughout the season. With 17 years experience in retail Lovestruck has been formed with a strong understanding of its market and customer base. Lovestruck has stockists throughout the UK and Europe."

I love that all the clothes are super girly and I could see myself wearing all the clothes. I love anything girly and all of their collection is perfect for a hot summers day! Ok so we won't have many of those but we can dream!

I think my favourite piece is the Audrey shirt (bottom right). I'm going through a phase with shirts at the minute I just can't get enough of them and I love the print on this. It would look really nice in winter with a chunky knit cardi thrown over the top.

I've pretty much fallen in love with everything so head over to Lovestruck Clothing and take a look at all the girly clothes!
