It's that time of year when the sunlight in the garden is just beautiful. It washes all my photographs with light and sun flares. I do love a cold but sunny Winters day, it makes me want to go on walks and then I realise that I would much rather stay in the warm.

I've been meaning to photograph this skirt for a while. I picked it up in a charity shop for just 50p. I couldn't believe my luck, it's the perfect length for a winter skirt. Long enough to keep your legs warm but enough leg out that it doesn't look frumpy.

We spent the day yesterday walking around the charity shops in the town. We didn't find a thing, it's funny how on some days you find lots and others you don't find anything. I guess that's just the nature of charity shopping.

I did pick up some crafty bits to start making wedding things. It's 420 days until the big day and as we are planning on making most things we need to get started as soon as possible. This weekend we are going to start on the save the dates which are really cute, the Mr, my sister in law and I designed them one night, now we just have to make 50! I can't wait to show you with a little DIY post.

I hope you've had a lovely start to the New Year! How are you spending your Saturday?

It's that time of year I love in the garden. The spot I stand in for my photographs has the most incredible light from now until Spring. It creates these beautiful rays of light and makes all the colours soft and beautiful.

Yesterday I spent the day baking for today's Halloween party. I shared a sneaky photo on Instagram of my bakes and the recipes will be up on here on Tuesday just in time to bake for Halloween. I spent the whole afternoon icing and decorating the worst part of it all was having to tidy up. I am a firm believer that you should leave all the tidying up until the end I'm not a tidy as you go person.

I'm still struggling to find things to wear but we have just been given a massive wardrobe so that gives me an excuse this week to sort through all my clothes and put together a few outfits. We are also planning a little charity shopping trip which always results in a few new pieces. Especially from one shop where they have stuff for 50p!

This blog post was supposed to go up earlier but I got incredibly lazy last night and decided to write it this morning after a cup of coffee and round of eggy bread. I wish I was one of those people who benefited from that "extra hour" but I don't. It just means I wake up an hour earlier instead. Blah. At least I have a nice lazy day ahead of me!

Happy Sunday! Have a good one!

Nothing - To - Wear

[Sweater: New Look,  Skirt: Monki . Necklace: eBay. Shoes: New Look]

This sweater is the story of my life. All those clothes but I still have nothing to wear. It's getting to that funny time of year (but also one of my favourite times of the year) where it's too cold for no coat but too warm for anything that is built for winter. I can't wait to dig my coat out and layer it up with chunky knitwear and a tartan scarf. There's something lovely about the nights drawing in and it makes things very cozy.

I've got a week off at the end of October and I can't wait. I've got lots of baking planned and charity shopping too. I might even make a proper start of my Christmas shopping. (Too early for that word?)

Things have been rather busy at the minute, working a lot more hours (I need to pay for that wedding somehow!) and having a lot of social events (not like me at all) I've not had a minute to stop. My to-bake list is giant at the minute and after making cake pops for my boss as a leaving present I've got the bug. They were really fun to make so I'm going to be putting sticks in everything and calling them a "pop".

I've entered a baking competition and I would love it if you could go and vote for me!

Happy Thursday!

[Blanket wrap: Primark. Top: Charity Shop. Boots: New Look. Jeans: New Look (ripped myself). Necklace: eBay]

This blanket wrap has been sitting in a box in the cupboard waiting. Just waiting. Waiting for this A/W it seems. Blanket scarves/wraps are one of our biggest sellers at work and I knew that I could dig this beauty back out of the cupboard. I bought it from Primark. It was reduced and it was one everyone went crazy for because Kate Moss was seen wearing it at a festival. I can remember I saw it out of the corner of my eye, on the sale rail. A lady picked it up and I silently pleaded that she would put it back down so I could rush over and snap it up. And that is exactly what I did!

My recent shopping? Non existent. I am really struggling. I tried lots of clothes on, on my lunch break yesterday and nothing felt right. I like to fall in love with clothes. If I don't love it and feel like I NEED it then I won't buy it. I won't make do. I've not been second hand shopping recently either so that is something on my to do list, in between working lots of hours (Weddings don't pay for themselves and we are booking ours today! Eeeeeek) I'm very much looking forward to my week off at the end of October. Time to write a list of things I need to do!

I have been waiting for so long to wear this jacket. I picked this up the month I said no spending on clothes. I did really well other than this and I couldn't leave it. It cost me £4 and it was too pretty to walk away from. It's perfect for the in-betweeny (not sure that's a word, it is now) weather at the moment. It's too warm to wear a coat but leaving for work in the mornings there is certainly that autumn chill in the air. Autumn and winter clothes always steal my heart. I get so excited about coats and boots but when it's still warm outside it's really hard to dress. I can't wait for colder weather.

After a bad week back at work I spent a lot of yesterday, after cleaning the house and running errands, baking. I made biscuits and cupcakes, expect to see those soon. I also may have started my Christmas shopping. It sort of happened by accident. Wilkinsons had some toys on offer and I have 7 nieces and nephews to buy for so the earlier I get started the better. I picked up a wooden jigsaw and puzzles. I'm excited for Christmas. I know it's a little early but I'm already planning a Christmas series for the blog. I'm such a kid!

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

P.S My garden is a huge mess, hence the title. Fancy coming over and tidying it up mum? (I know you're reading this!)

Dogtooth trousers.

Top & Trousers - Charity Shop
Necklace - eBay
Shoes & Bracelets - New Look
Watch - Gift.

It's been a long time since I've posted any outfits on here and to be honest it's because I've not been wearing anything exciting enough to photograph. I wore this outfit a week or so ago when we went out for Chinese. I wanted something that was casual but still smart enough for dinner. I had the trousers already but in the morning I decided to nip into town to find  black top that would work nicely with the print on the trousers. I was really lucky as the first shop I went into had this top sitting on sale rail for £1.30. I was chuffed. It was just what I wanted.

I bought these shoes a while ago as they are the nearest I'll get to Swedish Hasbeens for a while, I do love a clog style sandal. The necklace came from eBay for the bargain price of 99p. I usualy wear heavy statement necklaces but I wanted something that was delicate without being over the top or a bit naff. This fitted the bill perfectly and I've worn it since it arrived!

Last night we went out for dinner again (we've been very sociable recently!) and then off to a local wedding fayre. We are now stepping things up and we have a date in mind that's not too far in the future so it's time to get planning.

If you follow me on Pinterest you may have noticed a lot of my pins have been wedding related. If you fancy a look head over here!

I'm back at work today after 3 weeks off. It's been a crazy/stressful few weeks but it's also been lovely to spend time with my family. I'm looking forward to getting back to have something to do and start saving a lot of pennies for this wedding we are planning!

Happy Friday!

Top, sunglasses & shoes - New Look
Skirt - H&M

I braved taking outfit photographs somewhere other than my back garden or on the dirt track near my house and I'm really happy I did. These have come out really nice with the view of Southwold beach and lighthouse in the background.

You may have noticed how short my hair is. Last Monday I had around 6 inches off as I fancied a bit of a change and some kind of style to my hair other than it just hanging down. I really love it and it's not really taking that long to get used to. In fact I now use less heat on my hair as it kind of curls itself round my face.

I'm finding it really nice to go through my wardrobe clear out old pieces that I don't wear anymore and wear the pieces I had forgotten about. I've also not bought much clothes these past few months, I only spent £4 on a beautiful jacket.

Today is my first day back at work after my week off, which was so lovely. It was the perfect combination of days out and lazy days spent at home. I can't wait until the end of August for another week off!

There's going to be a whole post on our day in Southwold coming in the next few days. I've not been in a couple of years but it was as every bit as lovely as I remember. Sometimes it's nice to be a tourist in local areas and it's definitely inspired me to take my camera with me to other places.

I hope you've have a lovely weekend. I sure did.

Happy Monday.

Summer dressing, well not quite.

I'm not good at summer dressing. My usual summer outfits are throw on a dress and some sunglasses. And when I can't be bothered to wear a dress I wear this. I can't live without jeans ans recently I've found a love for ripped jeans but instead of buying them I just ripped up an old pair.

This past month I have been on a bit of spending ban and so far I've spent £4 on a jacket that I just couldn't leave in a charity shop. It's perfect for fall and I can't wait. Anyone else excited for winter dressing?

Only two more shifts at work until my week off and I've started making plans. Including a haircut. I'm going a lot shorter than normal but don't worry there won't be a bob in sight.

I hope you have a lovely weekend! Happy Friday everyone.

Top - Monki
Skirt - Primark
Belt - New Look

It's safe to say that these photographs were not taken Yesterday. Although the sticky humid heat was around weather wise it was like winter. It absolutely chucked it down on and off all day. I planned on filming for a weekend vlog but we only popped out to the cinema in the morning then stayed in all day, hopefully I'll film some more today.

We went to the recent Muppets film, the cinema has a kids club where all seats are 99p. It was the perfect place to take the Mr's little boy and the perfect way to spend a rainy Saturday morning. When we left the cinema it was chucking it down so we quickly headed back to the car and drove straight home. It was nice to just sit down and not have to be anywhere.

Today I'm planning on sorting out the tip that is my garden (if the rain holds off). Both the front and back gardens are just mess and it's getting a little embarrassing when people walk past the front! It just needs a quick tidy up, weeds pulled out and a few of the plant pots from the back garden to go in the front. I'm hoping it doesn't take too long.

We've started looking at venues for our wedding. We've got a date in mind and it won't be until 2016 but nothing like a spot of early planning. I think we want a village hall or barn that we can decorate up ourselves rather than somewhere where you have to stick to their ideas. We want organise a caterer and decorations not go with what the venue wants. We also don't want to spend a whole heap of money either. It should be about love and not about how much money you can spend. I know quite a few bloggers are getting married this year (Sophie, Ella, Mummy B) so hopefully they can share some inspiration! I'm pinning away ideas so if you want to see what I'm up to you can follow me here .

I hope you have a lovely, lazy Sunday!

Dress - Charity shop.

What a glorious weekend I had. The weather and the company, it was all just perfect. Working yesterday certainly brought me down to earth with a bump.

Sunday my family and I gathered at my sisters house for a little get together. It would have been my Dad's 60th birthday so we thought that we would celebrate. The food was delicious. My mum made potato salad with bacon bits and mustard dressing along with white chocolate cheesecakes and a load more food too. We sat out in the garden until dusk. It was such a lovely way to celebrate the day.

I put this dress on for something cool but I ended up changing into shorts and kimono later on as I was hot after rushing around baking for the party (chocolate dipped vanilla biscuits and strawberry shortcakes).  I picked this dress up a couple of years a go and forgot I had it. It's so perfect for hot summers days and really easy to just throw on. The print is cute as well, you can't go wrong with strawberries especially with Wimbledon starting up! I even attempted a milkmaid braid, which was perfect for getting my hair out of my face. It still needs perfecting I think!

Tired eyes and flat hair - models own (unfortunately!)

Excuse my heavy and tired eyes. That's what happens when your up early. Well it does for me, I struggle getting up for half past eight if I'm being honest. This outfit came about Tuesday when I got back from work. All day it was cloudy but there was still that sticky heat. The sun came out and as soon as I got home I changed out of my jeans and straight into this little dress. Which was much better suited to the weather.

We are having another day out on Saturday this time to a lake which I'm rather excited about and I can't wait to take lots of pretty pictures and we will be bringing you another vlog (hopefully, I have left him in charge this time). We will be packing another picnic which is perfect timing as this week is national picnic week apparently. I swear there is a week for everything now-a-days.

I'm trying to come up with a few ideas of food to take that doesn't take too long to prepare. Any suggestions would make me very happy! I'll be spending my spare time between then on Pinterest looking for ideas (come and follow me!)
