Cut flowers

There's no better feeling than having fresh flowers in your house. Ok well there is better feelings. But it's nice all the same. I cut these off the hydrangea bush in my front garden. 

When we moved in we decided to cut it all back as it was overgrown, I'd have liked a few more flowers left, but at the time we didn't know how beautiful it would be. Oh well there's always next year.

I've got a carrot cake friands recipe for you tomorrow. Yum!

Lately #29

This week had flown by. I've had no time to do anything. My room is a mess, things need doing by time has got the better of me. I've been feeling really rundown and exhausted too. Not a great mix.

I have, however managed to finish photographing for my uni project. Not long left (thank god) and then it's a long summer. I'm looking forward to blogging more and seeing my friends that get neglected when I'm juggling uni and work.

Lately #28

We have had a considerable amount of sunshine this week and it's made me rather happy, that and the fact I passed my driving theory test. 

I started gardening today, a new hobby for this year. I'm excited to grow my own veg. 

We've been feeding the stray cat that visits our garden. I've named him scraggy as his coat isn't in the best condition.

This week is going to be busy I've got lots of uni work to get done before May. Wish me luck!

Lately #22

This week showed the promise of spring. How short lived that was. Yesterday it started snowing again. Oh how I have come to dislike the snow.

As it was starting to brighten up I had a bit of a spring clean, now the nice weather has disappeared so has my motivation for keeping my room tidy.

I made cheats trifle this week. It was delicious. You can find the recipe in the sidebar. 

My "bottom drawer" is filling up nicely. I keep finding lovely home bits. Poundland is like a bad habit for me. But it's great to be organised

Lately #21

Another busy week, yet again. This week we celebrated our 4 year anniversary. We agreed not to buy each other presents, however I was surprised with a massive (honestly I didn't have a vase big enough) bunch of flowers. Which was so beautiful. 

I made friends with our neighbour's cat who was pressing his little nose against the door. I wanted to let him in so much. Mama said no.

My first foodie penpal parcel arrived which was really exciting!

Spring is on its way, bulbs are shooting and I can't wait.
