Clinique Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisturizer Review!

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

RRP (Fullsize) £34

I love magazine freebies, I buy it just for the freebie and nothing wins me over more than Clinique freebies. I've never paid for a Clinique product but have I do have a few in my collection.

This time, on this months In Style, I got the turnaround overnight radiance moisturizer. I love trying new moisturisers and Clinique has never let me down! The consistency is thick without being heavy and it goes on like dream. It leaves my skin feeling really moisturised without leaving it greasy, unlike some others.

If you follow me on twitter you may have seen me moan about my bad skin and since using this moisturiser my skin has improved. I really do love this product. Am I going to buy it? Probably not as I am a cheapskate. Do I love it? Yes! (Somebody buy it for me?)

Maybelline Super Stay 24h Foundation Review!

Friday, August 31, 2012

RRP £9.19

When I posted my empties post you might have seen that my foundation was in it and I said I would talk about my new foundation very soon. Well here it is. I watched countless top five foundation videos to find one that people loved and that would work for my oily/combo skin. This came up a lot and for £9.19 (random price, I know) I didn't think it was bad value at all.

Another great feature of this foundation and possibly all the Maybelline foundations, I'm not too sure, is that the foundations have the same colours. I used to use Dream Matte Moose and sand was my colour so I picked it up and tried it and it was a perfect match.

Although I enjoyed my Bourjois foundation I found it to be too dewy for my oil skin and ended up piling a lot of powder on top. With the Super Stay foundation I don't have to use a lot of powder. It really suits my oily/combo skin and I really love it. I recommends this to anyone with the same skin as me and I think it has great coverage and perfect for my skin.

P.S The winner of the giveaway hasn't replied to my email if they don't reply by Monday I will draw a new winner!

Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask Review!

Saturday, August 11, 2012

RRP £9.00

This was something I had on my wishlist for a while and I finally decided to purchase it when I discovered that the Body Shop had a 40% voucher on their website. I wanted it after watching Essie Button's empties post. She said that she uses it as a blemish treatment rather than a mask and I wanted to see if it would work on my troublesome spots.

I'm happy to say this works a treat on those red bumpy spots. I pop this on over night and by the morning it's worked it's magic. It reduces the size and the redness. It doesn't get rid of it completely but it works really well for me!

I'm glad I purchased this and the big tub will last me a while.

Have you tried this? What did you think?

P.S Dolly Peg is open! Take a look here!

No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser Review!

Thursday, August 02, 2012

RRP £10

I brought this cleanser when boots were giving away No7 vouchers so it only cost me £5 which I thought was great value. This is No7's answer to the infamous Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I am a massive fan of Liz Earle and I didn't expect this to live up to it at all. But I was pleasantly surprised.

The product comes with it's own muslin cloth just like the L.E. I really love the packaging too. The pump gives you an exact amount of product which was the perfect amount for my face. The cleanser is in a massive bottle and I think it will last for a while.

I alternate this cleanser with my L'Occitane Angelica one. And I sometimes use both if I want a deep cleanse.

The product claims to brighten your skin and I really feel that it works, my face is a lot brighter after using it and my skin feels so soft and nourished!

The formula is the same consistency and it's pretty much an exact dupe of L.E. The main difference is the smell, L.E smells a lot more herbal based where as this has no smell at all.

Overall I really love the No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser and it works just as well as L.E, it is also is cheaper, which is a bonus!

*Quick update on Dolly Peg, we will be launching on the 10th of August which is next Friday (a week tomorrow) I can't wait! *

Shine Busters!

Sunday, July 29, 2012

Witch Anti-Blemish Pressed Powder* £4.99
Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets £1.99

Now I don't now about the rest of you, but in the summer I get a bit of an oily face. Whether it's from sweat (eeeewww) or suncream or whatever! It's something I hate. I think it's something that I have because of my oily/combo skin. But recently I've found a winning combination in this two products.

I apply my make up as normal and then after a walk to work (or any other exercise) my face, especially under my fringe, gets a tad oily. So I take out a sheet and dab it all over my face. It takes away any excess oil and leaves my make up in place. The sheets last a while and one is plenty enough at a time.

I then touch up my make up with the Witch pressed powder. I love a matte look to my make up and this gets rid of any shine. I also love using it as it contains witch hazel and has an anti blemish formula, so you don't have to feel guilty about putting lots of powder on your face. I'm gutted I've hit pan. I need some more powder as soon as!

So that's my method for keeping the shine away!
