Barry M Gelly nail paint in Papaya £3.99

I've already reviewed a nail polish from this range and this applied exactly the same! See the review here.

It's such a summer colour and looks perfect on fingers and toes. I shall be buying other colours in this range! I think it's love!

17 Berry Crush Lip Stain Review!

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

RRP £4.99

Unless you've been hiding away somewhere you'll know that lip stains are one of the hottest products on the cosmetics market right now and up until recently I hadn't tried one. I remember when I was little and broke into my sisters make up collection and stole a red lip stain and my lips were stained for days so I was a bit weary!

However I am really impressed. I picked up the shade Pinkini, which is a punchy vibrant pink, with deep purple tones. This kind of colour is what I'm really loving at the minute.

For those of you wondering how to apply this product you just simply apply the lip balm to protect and moisturise your lips and then apply the felt tip looking end over you lips to add colour.

I wore this to fashion week as I wanted my lip colour to stay in place all day without too many touch ups and it did.

To begin with I thought that the felt tip end was dried out as the colour was difficult to apply but after a few uses this seems to have cleared up.

I can't wait to try out some more the shades! And the 17 lip stains are so much cheaper than that of other brands, they've definitely won me over!

Maybelline Super Stay 24h Foundation Review!

Friday, August 31, 2012

RRP £9.19

When I posted my empties post you might have seen that my foundation was in it and I said I would talk about my new foundation very soon. Well here it is. I watched countless top five foundation videos to find one that people loved and that would work for my oily/combo skin. This came up a lot and for £9.19 (random price, I know) I didn't think it was bad value at all.

Another great feature of this foundation and possibly all the Maybelline foundations, I'm not too sure, is that the foundations have the same colours. I used to use Dream Matte Moose and sand was my colour so I picked it up and tried it and it was a perfect match.

Although I enjoyed my Bourjois foundation I found it to be too dewy for my oil skin and ended up piling a lot of powder on top. With the Super Stay foundation I don't have to use a lot of powder. It really suits my oily/combo skin and I really love it. I recommends this to anyone with the same skin as me and I think it has great coverage and perfect for my skin.

P.S The winner of the giveaway hasn't replied to my email if they don't reply by Monday I will draw a new winner!

What's in my bag?!

Monday, August 20, 2012

After seeing that Glossybox has launched an instagram competition and to enter you have to post what's in your bag, I thought I'd give it a go.

My bag is from TK Maxx I think it cost me £15. Not very expensive at all and I really love it. I pretty much use this everyday. It had loads of pockets and it's great for storing the essentials in.

Onto the contents, other than the boring tissues, tampons, pen, notebook etc.. here's what's in my bag.

My purse - I brought this from TK Maxx too. It's Nica and it cost £10!

Perfume - I picked up this Charlie perfume from Boots on my way to work. It was on offer for £1 and it's great for keeping in my handbag.

Shine Absorbing Sheets - I love these Kleenex ones they work really well and are the perfect size for my bag. I can't live without these.

Lip Balm - I picked up this Body Shop one a while ago! It's perfect for when my lips feel sore and rough.

Antibacterial hand gel - Every bag should have one. Perfect for on the go. I like this Wilkinson's one as it doesn't smell too much like alcohol unlike all the others.

Hairbrush, hairbands and hair grips - essentials!

Powder and brush - I have a love for the Witch anti blemish powder and I need to repurchase! Mine is all crushed! Great for dealing with shiny face!

Lipstick - The current handbag favourite is the one I got in this month's Glossybox. It's a lovely pink colour!

And two things I really can't be without - a bottle of water and my phone!

So that's everything in my bag! Have you got a post of what's in yours? You guys know I'm super nosey so post in the comments if you have a post!

Oh and don't forget to enter my giveaway!

Avon Super Extend Extreme Mascara Review!

Wednesday, July 11, 2012

RRP £10*

This month's Marie Claire came with a free Avon mascara. There were three to choose from unfortunately the one I wanted I couldn't find so I settled for this the Super Extend Extreme Mascara. The product claims to lengthen the look of the lashes. I thought great! I have short eye lashes and a bit of length is what I need.

So I tried it out and I'm not really that impressed. I have used Avon mascara's in the past and I have always loved them, but this one isn't that great (for me!). It coats the lashes nicely but there is no added length and no volume my eyelashes look thin and spindly.

However the mascara worked well over my Yves Rocher mascara and de-clumped my lashes. Avon currently has the mascara on offer for £3.99 and if you have long lashes anyway or for false lashes I would recommend this mascara but if you have short stubby lashes like mine I'd go for something that adds a lot more volume and length. Would I purchase? No not this time, this mascara is not really for me, maybe when it drys out a bit it make my lashes look nicer, until then I'll stick with my Yves Rocher.
