Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner!

Saturday, June 30, 2012

RRP £2.99

I brought this eyeliner on Tuesday after struggling with my old rubbish liquid eyeliner. I am useless at applying eyeliner so any way of making things easier always interests me. I thought that this might be a good way of applying eyeliner without looking like a child did my make up.

The eyeliner is exactly like a felt tip and it is a lot easier to apply than a standard liquid liner. I'm still no expert at applying eyeliner but this makes things a lot easier.

I also didn't like how standard eyeliner wore off during the day. That flaky look is just horrible and I'm happy to say this lasts longer and no flakiness. In no way does this last 24 hours, but it does last a lot longer than a standard liquid eyeliner.

In the shop I accidentally picked up a purple felt tip liner and applied some to my hand, it stained my hand and would not come off. I tried the black and that came off with my eye make up remover. I was a little cautious about applying it still just in case it stained my eyes, but I'm happy to say it doesn't!

The felt tip liner is a great idea and I'm never going to go back to standard liquid liner again!

June Favourites!

Friday, June 29, 2012

My first monthly favourites video! I'm sorry about the poor quality I just can't get anything to upload at the minute. The internet speed I have is terrible. It told me I would have to wait over 800 minutes and then trying to film in hd on my phone said even longer! Sigh I hate living so rural!

Rant over! Hope your all well.

I ordered some things from ASOS so just waiting for those to arrive! I can’t wait I have ordered two really pretty dress and a cute printed shirt. But all will be revealed soon.

Witch BB Cream

Wednesday, June 27, 2012

RRP £6.99*

Now if you have seen my Youtube videos you'll know that I had a love hate relationship with BB creams. I want to love them but skin hates them. I need a lot of coverage for my skin and having oily/combo skin I need a BB cream that's not full of oil. "A dewy complexion" to me equals a "shiny mess". But my days of hating BB creams are over!

Introducing you all to Witch BB cream. Know as you probably know by now I am a Witch Flawless friend and I got sent this over in my welcome pack. I've tried most of the products now so I'll be reviewing some of those too. But as this product is new I wanted to try it out. And boy am I in love.

To begin with I had bad thoughts, I expected my face to be an oily mess which no coverage. But my fears were indeed conquered. The coverage is amazing. Spots? What spots? And even under eye circles were eradicated! I did top my skin up with a dab on concealed but I was really please with the results. The BB cream offers SPF15 which is great as you don't have to worry about SPF in your moisturiser.

The BB cream is pink toned which suited my skin tone. I don't know if Witch are planning to bring out other shades but I don't think the shade I was sent would suit darker skin tones.

I find that the BB cream is good for a day when you don't want lasting full coverage. I wore it out my day's off when I don't need full make up. I used Witch Skin Clearing Primer before the BB cream and this made it last for longer.

Overall I really loved this product and I will be repurchasing when mine runs out.

It's the last few days of nominating for the Cosmo Blog Awards. I'd really appreciate it if you guys could give me a little nomination! Thank you all so much!

top* - primark, skirt - chairty shop, jewellery - kukee, shoes - new look

Total Outfit Price: £11.99

My day off today and I am planning to fill it with taking blog photos and filming youtube videos. By the way if you have any video requests please let me know as I'm on the look out for ideas!

Today's outfit is one of the ones I planned last week when we had bright sunshine (only lasted two days!) and I've been waiting for the weather to wear it. Today is by no means sunny but at least it's not raining or as it did yesterday thunder and lightning. That resulted in a power cut at work! Oh Great British weather how we loathe you. I hope any international readers are having better weather?

Anyway must get on! Hope your Monday's not to miserable!

Oh and if you have a moment it would be really great if you could nominate Little Paper Swans for the Cosmo Blog Awards as nominating ends on Friday. So if you have a spare minute I'd be really grateful!

P.S I'm thinking of doing a giveaway when I reach a hundred followers what would you like to win? Let me know.

Glossybox Review #2

Sunday, June 24, 2012

It's Glossybox time! The June 2012 box is supposed to be about getting ready for summer and although I'm not too sure it does that this box did impress me.

No cute paper this month! That upset me a little bit, only because the paper before was beautiful. Haha, oh well.

The first product this month was the Glossybox Serie Exclusiv Pro Beauty Brush RRP £15.00. The brush is made of natural goats hair and boy does it smell of goats. I know that sounds stupid but the smell really puts me off. I have just brought The Real Techniques brushes so anything that's not those doesn't live up to my standard at the moment but it came in handy for using one of the other products.

The next product is Yves Rocher France Mini Mascara Ultra-Volume Sexy Pulp RRP £16.90 full size. This is possibly my favourite product. It's one of the best mascara's I've used and I know a lot of other people have felt the same. It coats your lashes evenly, no clumps is a definite bonus. My lashes looked longer and fuller. I really love this. Would I purchase this with my own money? Possibly £16.90 is a lot for me but it is worth it!

The third product was BM Beauty Summer Warmth Bronzer RRP £8.00 full size. I really loved this product. I have been after a decent bronzer for a while so when I saw this in my box I was really happy. And after trying it out I'm still sold on it. The colour is bronze enough without being orange. It gives you a really healthy summer glow! And I am considering purchasing this!

The next product is also controversial the Agent Provocateur Eau Provocateur RRP £39.00 full size. Fragrance samples never go down well I don't mind getting them but something else would have suited me better. Three little bottles of the fragrance came in the box and I only really liked the black one. The others smelt either too young or too old. I'm not going to be buying this. But if someone buys it for me I wouldn't complain!

The final product was the Vichy Dermablend Ultra-Corrective Foundation Cream Stick RRP £19.00 full size. I was really excited about trying this product. I love anything foundation or skincare and this claims to make dark circles and blemishes disappear instantly. But I found this product took a lot of work. I'm used to a liquid concealer and I think they are more hygienic too! Once I had worked it in I like the product. Will I be buying it? Probably not.

Overall I am happy with my box, if I had received something other than the perfume this box would have been near on perfect!

Do you receive Glossybox? What did you get?

Glossybox costs £10 ( +P&P ) and I pay for my own box. I am not sent it for free. For more information visit the Glossybox website.

Total Outfit Price: £21.58

I am in love with my spike necklace. I love it. I wear it with everything at the moment. I'm looking for more jewellery, especially spikes! Apparently it's gothic thanks brother! Haha.

I'm going to post up my review of June's Glossybox tomorrow, I know at lot of people aren't impressed but the products this month have been really good for me! So expect that tomorrow.

Also I've been trying out a new amazing BB cream that I love. And I'm a full coverage kind of girl so I shall be posting that up as soon as!

That's all for now. Off to make dinner for me and Mamma!

Nails #4

Friday, June 22, 2012

No nail art this time just a simple pretty pastel nail. I used Ciate nail polish. Both of which I gained for free. The pastel purple is called Bon Bon I got this free with July's issue of Marie Claire and the pale pink called My Fair Lady came free with Marie Claire last year sometime!

I'm not going to tell you how I did these nails as it's pretty obvious! I used Bon Bon for four nails and used My Fair Lady for the accent nail. I then used my trusty MUA shade 17 for the top coat.

My new discovery which I have to share with you all is L' Occitane Shea Butter Handcream. Now this handcream is a best seller and I can totally understand why. It is so nourishing but not at all greasy. Some handcreams especially cheaper ones feel really greasy on my skin but this absorbs quickly and leaves your hands silky smooth! I got this tube in my goody bag from the L'Occitane event I attended but you can buy it online or from your local L'Occitane store.

As I feeling super generous here's a 25% discount code to use on the Ciate website! The code lasts all of June and all of July so if you want to wait before you buy you can! Be sure to take a look at 25% off who could say no?
The code is MARIE25 just enter this at the checkout!

P.S If you have a spare second I would love it if you could vote for Little Paper Swans in the Cosmo blog awards. It would mean the world to me. Thank you lovelies!
