How To Weekly Meal Plan - Plan #43

Monday, May 15, 2017

Happy Monday! I'm hugely excited as my Phone Photography E-Course launches today and I can't wait to meet everyone and get stuck in with the course. You can read all about June's course here.

The weekend went so quickly. I had a meeting on Saturday afternoon in Norwich and my Mum and I decided to make a day of it so we wandered around the quiet parts discovered some beautiful buildings (see here) and had lunch in a lovely little cafe. Then Sunday we did the food shop, popped to Pound Stretcher (who I am working with at the minute) and then to the beach to take photographs for another post and to let off some steam. We then headed over to my Mum's like we normally do. When we got home at 6pm Edith fell asleep pretty quickly, we well and truly tired her out. It was such a lovely day.

As for our meal plan we shopped at Tesco again and it came to £33.99. As always sign up to my weekly meal plan newsletter here and see my meal idea inspiration (and give me a follow) here.

This week we are eating:

Chicken Ranch Wraps

Tuna Mayo Pasta

Chicken Pathia (curry)

Chilli Cheese Fries

Lasagne

I have exciting plans. Filming all of the lessons for my E-Course. Eeek. You can read all about it here.

I'm also in shock that I've reached week 40 already. You guys seem to really love my meal plans and there's going to be lots more as well as an E-Book too. Can you tell I like to keep busy? Haha.

As it's Monday you know the drill. Link your meal plan up here and share some blog love. Each week lots of blogger share their meal plans and it's great for inspiration.

I'm thinking I'm going to need to change this series as every week it gets harder to keep it below £30, £35 seems to be the amount we spend now. I suppose the cost of food has gone up, so it's hardly surprising.

If you'd like to see how we spent our money, sign up to my weekly newsletter here. You can also visit my Pinterest board for the inspiration behind the weekly meals.

This weeks meals (in no particular order):

Chilli sausage rolls with homemade chips.

Happy Easter Monday! I can't believe the Easter holidays are drawing to a close (for us anyway). My husband is back at work tomorrow. It's been a lovely but busy 2 weeks. It's amazing how quickly they fly past.

A huge thank you to everyone who had supported my new business adventure. For those of you that have register your interest for the E-Course you should have hopefully received your info pack by now. If you'd like to hear more information about the Phone Photography course, click the link below and I'll send you over all the info.

The info pack just breaks down what you'll learn on the course. A huge thank you to those of you who have purchased my photos too. There's still a chance to get 20% off so head over and to grab yourself the discount code.

This week we are eating vegetarian. I used to be veggie until a few years ago when I decided for health benefits and because I fancied chicken, I ate meat again. I was veggie for around 10 years but decided that it wasn't for me anymore. We've decided to go veggie because my husband is struggling with his hiatal hernia so we're trying to see if adapting our diet can help.

This weeks meals are:

Veggie Fajita Pasta

Saag Paneer

Carrot & Sesame Noodles

Halloumi & Houmous Burgers with Homemade Fries

Thai Pineapple Fried Rice

The inspiration for these meals can be found on my Pinterest Board, it would be great if you could subscribe while you are there too!

And my weekly Meal Plan newsletter will hit your inboxes tonight with our food shop total and receipt. You can sign up to that here!

Monday, April 10, 2017

Hey there! It's another Monday which means it's time for my weekly ramble and meal plan too! I hope the weather was as beautiful as it was here. It was such a lovely chilled weekend. Lazy day in the garden on Saturday, followed by a day at Nanny's while my husband went off to cricket practice. It was just lovely and makes me crave those warm summer days.

As we are still on half term we've not done the shopping yet but we will be doing that this morning. I've finally uploaded last weeks video which you can see here. I'll also be filming this weeks too and hopefully another video. Also I've set up a RSS feed so you can't get an email when there's a new post which means you won't miss a thing. I would love if you could sign up!

As always you can link up your meal plan to #mealplanningmonday

As for this weeks meals we've got:

Weekly Meal Plan #37

Monday, April 03, 2017

Happy Monday and Happy Easter Holidays too! Most of you know my husband is a teacher so I love the holidays as it means we get to spend time together as a family! Wahoo. It also means I get a few work days which means I can crack on with my ebook and there's going to be a weekly meal plan video too.

Last week someone asked if this includes our breakfasts and lunch etc. It most definitely does. I'm pretty resourceful and we often have leftovers or homemade soup with both Edith and I love. My husband takes a packed lunch to work and he doesn't have a huge appetite (unlike me!). I may to a what I eat kind of video/post if people are interested.

As always link up to #mealplanningmonday.

We're doing the shop today as I was at a wedding show yesterday with my photography stand so we had no time to fit in a shop. I've been pretty slack on my newsletter but I'll be sending it out tonight with our weekly shop receipt and how much things came to or head over to my Youtube Channel and see the haul!

This week we're eating:

Homemade Cheese & Onion Pies with Homemade Potato Wedges

Hawaiian Pasta Salad

Homemade Burgers & Homemade Chips

Beef Kofta Curry

Ham & Mushroom Pitta Pizzas

Can you believe I've been writing these meal for 36 weeks? I still love doing it and so many of you seem to love them too. Over the next few weeks I'm starting work on my Meal Plan eBook which will hopefully be available by the end of May. It will be the first "product" I've ever created so I'm a bit nervous but I hope you guys will love it.

I'm writing this Saturday evening as I'm not planning on working on Mother's Day. I'm terrible at taking things easy but it's about time I took a day off. We have plans to visit the zoo so hopefully that's what we got up to. Follow me on Instagram to see more.

As for #mealplanningmonday it's still going strong. I would love for you to link up below!

Another week, another meal plan. Although it went quickly last week was a long old week. Edith's "mama" stage is in full swing and I'm exhausted. Last week's #mealplanningmonday saw 13 link ups. There are some great meal plans so  make sure you click back to read through those and read through this weeks too. Kirsty and I would love you to link up and you can do that below.

£30 weekly, budget meal plan

Oh wow. What a really busy weekend. I need a weekend to get over the weekend. I had a photoshoot at Thetford Forest with the lovely Chantal and her family. It was so great to meet them and it was a really great day. After the photoshoot we decided to stay and explore the forest a bit. We are making plans to head back there in the summer.

Then yesterday we had a huge list of housework that needed doing. You name it we did, it was a lot of hard work. We then had my family over for dinner and before we knew it bedtime was calling, for Edith, not for us!

But anyway. Happy Monday! Kirsty and I had 19 link ups to #mealplanningmonday Which is amazing, let's hope for more this week. I love this little community and I need to put in more effort with commenting, I will get around to it I promise.

You can link up below and grab a badge too!

As for our weekly shop we went over budget, again. Next week my husband is doing the shop by himself as we always seem to be under budget when he does it! To be fair we had run out of a lot of basics so they all add up, we also had another day and a special dessert too. Next week we will be better.

We shopped at ASDA as they had the best deal on meat for us. The shop came to £44.58. Eeeek!!  We definitely need to cut back next week.

As always my newsletter will be going out at 11am this morning. So sign up for that here and head over to my Pinterest board, and follow, for all my meal planning inspiration.

£30 Budget Weekly Meal Plan

Happy Monday! These weeks are flying by at the moment and this week I'm determined to get myself organised. On Saturday I met with Georgia, it was so good to meet a fellow creative and I left our get together feeling inspired and ready to go out and achieve exactly what I want to. I've got some big plans and I'm hoping I can pull them off! This week already looks like a busy one!

As for #mealplanningmonday last week was another good week with slightly less link ups than usual. I'm hoping we can go back up to 20 again this week. Head on over to Kirsty's blog to see all the details about it! You can link up below and don't forget to grab a badge will your here too!

As for our weekly shop, we went to Tesco as it was on the way home this morning. I did have the luxury of doing it by myself as Edith fell asleep in the car, so my husband waited in the car with her. The total came to £38.49. We did have a few extras added on because we have vowed not to have takeaway this month, so I bought some pizzas and chips to stick in the freezer and if we were having a lazy day we could then use them instead of wasting £10/£15 on takeaway! I also took full advantage of the reduced baby snacks. They had end of lines down to 13p so of course I snapped up as many as I could. Our baby snack cupboard is now so full we won't need to buy any in a long while!

As always my Pinterest board full of the inspiration behind some of the recipes is here. And my newsletter is going out at 11am this morning, so make sure you have subscribed to that here.

This weeks meals are:

Chorizo, peppers and halloumi bake,

Red pepper, mozzarella pasta.

Chicken and mushroom pie.

Chicken fajitas.

Tuna salad wraps with homemade chips.

Happy Monday! And happy first wedding anniversary to my husband and I. We've been married a year but scarily happy 8 years together. My husband pointed out that we've been together for a third of my life. That's a little bit scary. Anyway we popped out for breakfast yesterday morning baby free, thanks Mum, to celebrate. And tonight well, we're going to sit and watch The Walking Dead in our wedding outfits, because we are cool like that haha!

Anyway you're not here for chitchat your're here for meal plans and last week Kirsty had rather a lot join up, 21 in fact. That's pretty darn amazing, hoping it can be beaten this week. I loved the look of Simply Cornish's Chicken Continental.

Easy Budget Weekly Meal Plan

Happy Monday! It's back to routine for us as my husband is back at work. Last week flew by and Edith was unwell for half of the week and is still unwell so it's been a tough one for us. I hate seeing her ill and it's awful when there is nothing we can do to help. We're hoping that summer gets here quicker to get rid of all these nasty germs that seem to be about.

Last week Kirsty had 15 people link up meal plans and I am loving all the inspiration. Mabel and Me's Sticky Honey & Mustard Sausages sound amazing!

We would love you to link up again this week! I will get round to commenting on all the posts this week too. You can link up here:

Under £30 Weekly Meal Plan Budget Friendly

Happy Half Term! Or not depending on how you feel with a week off. I, for one, am so glad for a weeks break. It means my husband is off work for the week, which means we can spend time together. It's so difficult so spend time together when we both work so hard so a week together is perfect. A few days out and a time for me to catch up on my workload and just have a break.

We haven't actually done our food shop yet as yesterday was my husbands birthday so we didn't do our usual Sunday shop. But I have written out our list and our meals so I thought I'd share those and I will email you all in my weekly newsletter to let you know the total shop.

Thank you to everyone who joined up for the #mealplanningmonday blog hop. I hope you can join us again this week! I got so many ideas from the meal plans that have joined up and I loved Jessica's meal plan, her recipes sound amazing! I've got my eye on Oriental Steamed Rainbow Trout with Chinese Fried Rice. Make sure you have a look!

Budget, Healthy Meal Plan, Under £30

Another week has gone by and it was a pretty long one. Edith came down with conjuctivitus so we stayed in most of the week as her eyes were so sore. But she's on the mend and we're looking forward to the week ahead. Mainly because my birthday is on Thursday, yaaay! Expect lots of cake. I do have quite a few blogs posts going live this week so make sure you check back everyday.

I'm so really pleased to say I've joined up with the very lovely Kirsty from Hijacked By Twins for #MealPlanningMonday it would be amazing if you could join with us. My husband was in charge of this weeks shop as I was on a shoot. I had written him a list but I forgot to give it to him, luckily he's memory is pretty brilliant so he only forgot a few bits which we managed to pick up later. He did the main shop at Tesco and we picked a few bits up at ASDA on the way to my Mum's.

The total shop came in at £27.39. I might need to pick up some fresh fruit in the week depending on how quickly it gets eaten but we will still be on budget which is what we like to see.

You can sign up to my weekly meal plan newsletter here. It's totally free to do and it breaks down exactly what we spent. I'll also feature exclusive recipes now and then and free printables. So make sure you sign up.

Also head over to my pinterest board to see ideas behind the meals. You can do that here.

A lot of you asked about the caramel chicken. I'm going to feature a recipe for it soon so make sure you pop back for that. It's such a simple but delicious dish. It's just brown sugar heated to go like caramel which soy sauce and a few other ingredients. It then coats the chicken and tastes incredible!

So I guess you'll want to know what this weeks meals are:

Slow cooker caramel pork with stir fry.

Pork wraps with salad & homemade chips.

Chicken nachos.

My birthday tea.

Taco pitta pockets.

Weekly Meal Plan #28

Monday, January 30, 2017

Happy Monday! I'm getting rather excited for February. It means that it's soon going to be my birthday, my husbands birthday and a million different other events! How exciting. But also payday. Well ish. Being self employed doesn't mean payday like it used too but the money I was saving for this month can now be released. Haha.

Last week's meal plan didn't work out too well for us. We had takeaway one night and then our meals got muddled. We used the ingredients we had though so I guess that's all that matters! There will be no takeaway this week. Even if we are both feeling under the weather.

My husband did this week's shop as Edith was due a nap. So rather than take her out and to save me from getting stressed he went. He did pretty well! He likes to shop at Tesco, so he can use the self scanners. It makes our shop so much easier! He spent a grand total of £32.22 Which is just over budget.

I do apologise for lack of newsletter last week but this weeks will be going out at 11am this morning so sign up here. A massive thank you to all of you who signed up last week. I am currently working on a meal plan printable for you guys which will make things easier when you plan your shop. Hopefully that will be with you either mid-week or by next weeks newsletter!

So I guess you'll want to know your meals? Head over to my meal planning inspiration board on Pinterest to see the recipes for this week.

Caramel Chicken

Slow cooker chilli

Chilli dog wraps

"Brinner" (Breakfast)

Bacon, spinach and mozzarella puffs

Weekly Meal Plan Under £30

Happy Monday! We've nearly made it through January. This month has flown by but at the same time it feels like we've been stuck in it forever. I'm rather excited for next month, its both of our birthday's, Valentines and our 1st wedding anniversary and 8 years of being together. I do love February.

I think this week is going to be a chilled one as last week was pretty busy! But who knows what we'll get up to. Anyway onto food. This week's shop was at Tesco again and came to a grand total of £31.92 not bad going at all! Edith's become a little fussy over the last couple of weeks so we've bought extra baby food (pouches, I desperately need to buy the re-fill ones) to make sure she's eating something.

As always sign up to my newsletter to see how I did the shop for £31.92. You can do that here. And head over to my Pinterest board (and follow me while you are there) to see the inspiration behind this weeks meals.

This week we're eating:

Fajita Pasta

Sweet chilli noodles with crispy fish.

Cheese & spinach puffs with homemade chips.

Moroccan chicken flatbreads.

Happy Birthday to me! Well not me but my blog. It's 5 years old today! I can't believe it. It's the thing (other than my husband) that I've stood by for the longest. I've got lots of posts coming up this week to celebrate but I had to have a meal plan post up today because it's not Monday without one.

Were having a thrifty week this week. Mainly because we have got quite a few things in the cupboard and freezer and I want to use them up before they go out of date. It's great as it means our shopping stays under budget and I can clear some cupboard space.

This week's meal inspiration as always is on my Pinterest Board which you can find here. And don't forget to sign up to my newsletter for extra meal saving tips and a copy of my receipt to show exactly what I spent. A massive thank you to those of you who have signed up already. You can catch up with back issues here.

As it's my blog birthday week, I thought I would share my first ever meal plan post. Enjoy!

This week's shop was at Morrisons and we spent a total of £29.39 on food for the week. I did pick up some clothes for Edith too but I don't include those in the total.

This weeks meals:

Serrano Ham & Mozzarella Salad (how very posh!)

Spinach, Bacon, Mac & Cheese

Peanut Noodles

Chicken and Mushroom Pasta

Homemade Fish Cakes, Chips & Peas

Feed your Family For Less, Healthy Weekly Meal Plan Under £30

It's back and with a new photograph too! I didn't meal plan over Christmas and New Year as we were all over the place. We had people over we went to other peoples so it didn't really make much sense to try and budget and plan every meal. It what a little bit weird as I did miss the routine of meal planning and it's good to finally get back to eating "normal" food rather than bingeing on cheese and chocolate.

I did feel a little rusty and we did go 17p over budget. But I think we'll let that one pass. I've got my newsletter going out at 10am this morning so make sure you are subscribed to that if not catch up with back issues here. We shopped at Tesco this week which is not my usual but it was easier than stopping else where.

As always the inspiration and ideas behind the meals are on my Pinterest board. I've not said what days we'll be having meals on anymore as it always chops and changes anyway. We'll eat whatever runs of the date the quickest!

This weeks meals:

Chicken Taco Cups with Couscous

Easy Chicken Pot Pie with Homemade Chips & Veg

Sausage Rigatoni

Crisp Fried Fish with Sweet Onions & Rice

Chicken Burgers, Homemade Wedges & Veg

Weekly Meal Plan #24

Monday, December 19, 2016

It's the last meal plan of 2016! There's been 24 weeks of meal plans this year and it's going to carry on next year too. I am also going to film my video over the Christmas period whilst my husband is off work.

This week we had an extra meal as we had my mum and brother over for dinner. A couple of weeks ago my husband made amazing burgers and I need to share them with you so we thought we would invite family over as they are too good not to share. It was lovely and we'll be doing the same again next week but for CHRISTMAS! I'm so excited and I've almost got everything we need.

There's no meal plan for the next two weeks as meals will be hit and miss. I'll be back in  the new year, probably with some super healthy recipes probably because I'll feel so huge from all the eating over Christmas haha!

Our shop was at ASDA and food totaled £28.41. Not bad considering we had an extra meal too! It's great ended the year on target. So here's what we are eating this week:

Sunday
Festive Burgers

Monday
Sausage & Veg Pasta

Tuesday
Jacket Potato & Cheese

Wednesday
Spinach, cream cheese & mozzarella quesadillas

Thursday
Bacon & Mushroom Spaghetti

Friday
Chicken Curry

For more details on my meal plans and for our shopping list/receipt sign up to my newsletter here.

Oh and Merry Christmas!

Weekly Meal Plan Budget Family Friendly
Happy Meal Plan Monday! These weeks are coming around so quickly and there's only 2 weeks left of meal plans before Christmas. I'll be taking a break over Christmas and will be back in the New Year.

We had another busy weekend (we can't wait for a quiet weekend this week) meals out and then finishing the Christmas shopping yesterday. Well almost. now to wrap it all. I'm hoping that my husband will do it. It pains me to say it but he's much better at it than I am and quicker too.

We've decided to have a healthier week, in preparation for Christmas. The meals are also pretty simple which is perfect as Edith rarely has an afternoon nap anymore so getting things done is pretty much impossible. That also means that newsletters will be a little hit and miss until I have time to write them but please do subscribe here.

This weeks shop was at Morrisons and it came to: £30.20. Only 20p over budget.

This weeks meals are:

Monday
Chicken chow mein

Tuesday
Teriyaki chicken rice

Wednesday
Indian - spiced shepherds pie

Thursday
Veggie fajita pasta

Friday
Slow cooker chilli (we didn't have it last week)

Don't forget that all of the recipes I have used for inspiration are right here.
